SEVENTEEN scenario → seeing a foreign reader and being smitten with her.
Tumblr media
pairing: seventeen x reader fandom: seventeen warnings: / genre: fluff word count: 1.7k+
a/n: one of the requests that has been sitting in my inbox for a long time, I’m very sorry it took this long, but I hope you like it, my love!
Tumblr media
choi seungcheol
Tumblr media
As their leader, this wasn't just amazing for him to be here, but to experience his band member's reaction to it.
Billboard Music Awards.
They really did that.
Seungcheol looked around with the biggest smile on his face, when he spotted you. You were on the red carpet, but you weren't a performer. It seemed more like you were one of the staff members working.
Still, Seungcheol continued staring until you finally noticed.
You smiled, brightly so, but he was super embarrassed and looked away, but only for a small moment.
He knew that he couldn't approach you, not here, not when all eyes were on him and his members. But he hoped he had the chance to talk to you later in the evening... when it was, hopefully, only you and him at some point.
yoon jeonghan
Tumblr media
Korea was freaking cold right now and he wasn't into that.
He'd much rather be inside, under a blanket and with a bunch of candles burning, than in this freezing cold, waiting for the shoot to finally be over.
But then an angel came.
Quite literally – for him at least.
“Here,” you handed him a steaming hot tea, “You look like you need it.”
From the looks of your uniform, you seemed to be from the nearby café. He had heard that it was a foreign café, but he hadn't thought that foreigners were working in there, since it was usually always Koreans working in these places. Not that it mattered much to him. He still stared at you like an idiot, not grabbing the tea because he was too busy studying your features.
You smiled, but weren't sure what to do.
Thankfully, Joshua saw the situation before it could get even more awkward and grabbed the tea out of your hand with a: “He appreciates it, thank you very much.”
And even when you left, Jeonghan still stared after you.
“Hyung has a crush,” Joshua quickly started teasing.
joshua hong
Tumblr media
It was only a two-week break, but Joshua still decided to fly back to L.A. to visit some family and friends.
However, his plans got completely turned upside down when he met you the second day that he was back in L.A.
“Did you guys get a new neighbor?” he asked his cousin as he stared at you getting the groceries out of your car.
“Ah, yeah. Her name's (Y/N). She's super cool, man. You should go and say hi!”
“I don't think that's a good..-” but you already caught him staring and there was no going back anymore. You started smiling and straightened your back, before saying: “Hey, do you guys mind helping me move this inside the house? It's a little heavy.”
But before Joshua could say anything, his cousin already started shoving him towards you with a grin, “My cousin would love to help you.”
wen junhui
Tumblr media
Los Angeles truly was the city of angels. That's what he thought when he found you standing next to him, waiting to cross the road with him.
You noticed right away, smiled instantly.
“Hey.”
“Hi,” he smiled back at you, but that's about all he could do.
Maybe you thought that he'd say something else, but he didn't. All he could do was stare. And no, this had nothing to do with the language barrier, this was simply because he was too busy staring and his brain didn’t work properly anymore at that moment.
At first, you were disappointed, especially after the lights turned green and you crossed the road, but when you felt someone's hand on your shoulder, you smiled once again.
“I'm... Junhui. And... you?”
kwon soonyoung
Tumblr media
This was their last night here, they'd be flying back tomorrow morning.
And of course, this had to be the night where he found someone that he'd love nothing more than to talk to.
Your friend that you were at dinner with had noticed him staring, whispered something into your ear and then got up, walking straight towards Soonyoung.
“She's interested too,” is what she whispered to him before leaving.
And when Soonyoung looked back at you, you were smiling at him.
It might have only been one night, but it was.. one of the best nights he's ever had, hands down.
jeon wonwoo
Tumblr media
At first, Wonwoo hadn't even seen you. He was busy paying for his Americano, but when he heard someone speak English next to him, he instantly raised his head, just out of curiosity.
And boy, did he not regret that decision.
You were downright beautiful, glowing, almost. You seemed happy, conversed with the lady at the counter with ease, despite the language barrier between you two.
And when you noticed and smiled back at him, it was completely over for him.
“Uhm.. excuse me?” the lady holding out his cash asked for the third time, after he hadn't heard the first two times, because he was too busy staring into your eyes.
He blushed like crazy.
But you thought it was really endearing. That is actually why you ran after him and were courageous enough to ask him for his number.
lee jihoon
Tumblr media
This was... an unusual sight, to say the least.
Jihoon was pretty sure that he knew every single staff member in this company by now, but he definitely would have seen you around before. You had to be new.
“Who is she?” he asked his manager as they were waiting for the elevator to come.
“Ah, that's (Y/N). She's from (Y/H/C). One of the higher-ups thought she'd be a good addition.”
“Who.. who is she going to work with?” he was still staring and when you noticed and smiled, walking towards him, he started to panic a little, “Manager? Who.. who is she going to work with?”
But when he turned around, the manager was already gone and when he was face to face with you, you said: “Hi! You must be Jihoon? I heard you and I are going to be working together from now on!” well, he got his answer.
lee seokmin
Tumblr media
Seokmin was standing outside of a café, waiting for the rest of his members to come out, when he noticed this really cute bookstore right next to it.
Originally, he only wanted to check out the books, but then was way more fascinated with who he found standing inside the shop.
He was staring, not even trying to hide it and even when you noticed, he didn't stop, merely smiled like you did.
“Should we.. tell him we're done?” one of the others asked when they got out and saw him having this... connection.
“No, he'll be fine. Let him enjoy this.”
kim mingyu
Tumblr media
Mingyu was confident in himself when it came down to looks, if he wanted to, he could probably sweep any lady off her feet in a matter of seconds.
However, no matter how good looking he was, his English skills were lacking and whereas he would have approached you within a minute if you were in Korea, he now just stared at you with an open mouth, too afraid to talk to you because he wouldn't be able to express what he wanted to say to you.
But maybe that was okay.
Because when you noticed him staring, you smiled. Not shyly, but almost in a welcoming matter. That smile gave him the confidence that he needed to walk over to you after all and even though it wasn't easy, he still managed to have a conversation with you and, even better, score a date with you later tonight.
xu minghao
Tumblr media
You might think that doing something like this on tour was boring, but during a stressful time such as this one, this relaxed Minghao the most.
Just sitting in a café, watching people, and reading a book. Especially when it was a foreign café as small as this one, when he was sure that nobody would notice or care about him. He could just be himself.
“Excuse me? Here's your order,” you placed it on the table in front of him, but hesitated when Minghao continued staring at you. You smiled a little, though unsure, “Is.. everything okay?”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” he shook his head, then started laughing about himself, “Thank you.”
Oh, he was in deep shit.
“Everything is great, actually,” he added with a happy smile.
boo seungkwan
Tumblr media
Originally, Seungkwan had planned on watching all the drama episodes that he had previously downloaded onto his phone, but then you ended up sitting next to him on the plane and there was nothing else he could focus on except for you.
And, honestly, it was a little creepy, to say the least. Because he wasn't even trying to pretend like he wasn't staring.
In the end, you turned your head and smiled a little, “Excuse me, but can I... help you?”
“Oh, sorry!” he quickly said, “You're pretty,” but when he smiled so endearingly, all you could do was giggle.
And that is how the conversation began.
hansol vernon choi
Tumblr media
Vernon was downright amazed by you.
They were having this really cool shoot at the beach today and you and a couple of friends were playing Volleyball at a nearby net.
It wasn't even that you were really good at it – and if you were, he just couldn't focus on that, because he was busier noticing other things – but your energy made him want to get up and play with you.
One of your friends must have noticed, because she whispered something in your ear and a moment later you turned around and stared right back.
He thought about quickly turning around and pretending like he hadn't just stared at you for about ten minutes, but was glad that he didn't when you started waving him over.
In the end, him and a few of his band members ended up joining you guys for a match during their break and he ended up with more than just your name.
lee chan
Tumblr media
Seungkwan and him were out for dinner, just the two of them after a busy and stressful day.
And it was nice, you know? He got good food, had a little bit to drink... it was just.. nice.
And then it became even better when two girls sat down at the table next to them, one of them being you, and Chan nearly spit out his drink because he really hadn't expected to see someone this pretty tonight and definitely not a foreigner in this traditional restaurant in the depths of Seoul.
You instantly started giggling, even more so when Chan quickly wiped his mouth and then continued smiling.
And so what started out as a dinner for two, ended up with the four of you having an incredibly fun night together, laughing, eating and drinking.
And... a bit more for you and Chan.

Hi :) found your blog recently and i love it so much ♥️🥺 I was wondering if you can make a rec list of really deep and meaningful dramas? sth like JBL, that can really hit the feels you know? especially if there's angst and soft OTPs 😍😂 watched JBL and flower of evil bc of you and i was ˢᵗᵘⁿⁿᵉᵈ, now they're two of my all time favourite dramas, I'm just convinced at this point that anything you rec I'll love, but for real, i love your blog so much it can be the highlight of my day sometimes ♥️
First of all, nothing makes me happier than knowing my blog is a fun place to be! Your compliments make my heart go 💓😍💓
Also, I love this ask because this anon gets me. I LOVE those intensely meaningful relationships in k-dramas, made even more solid with shared trauma or a soul-mate connection.
Tumblr media
K-dramas featuring a mixture of soft OTPs, trauma, healing and a splash of angst (all have romance)
Come & Hug Me: When you mentioned Just Between Lovers and Flower of Evil, I thought of this drama first. I fell hard for the soft OTP made tragic by their shared horrific past. I sobbed through 80 percent of this drama but enjoyed the thriller aspect too.
He is Pyschometric: A mystery thriller that pairs up a rookie cop and a soft boy with psychic powers. There’s a lot to love about this sometimes funny but very heartfelt k-drama featuring so many people that just need a hug.
Angel’s Last Mission: Love: This drama isn’t perfect but I love a fantasy where two people fall in love deeply and try to fix their ill fate. If you like romances and fantasy k-dramas, this one will fit the bill but there is a ton of angst so get ready.
Extraordinary You: A super fun trope-y k-drama with a huge twist, this drama has such an amazing fantasy/fated love OTP. A friend of mine is watching this right now and said “I never want to be NOT watching Extraordinary You” and I feel that 100%.
It’s Okay To Not Be Okay/ Psycho but it’s okay: This show has a lot of healing, angst and beautiful people falling in love. But the main reason I personally love this show is the relationship between the leading lady and her boyfriend’s brother. They are besties who both had trouble making their way in the world, and are one of my favorite platonic soulmate pairings.
The Smile Has Left Your Eyes: This is a remake of a jdrama, but it’s a gritty and unusual psychological thriller/ romance. Seo in Guk and Jung So Min are seriously trauma babies who find one another and start to unravel their past. Take care of your heart if you watch this one - it’s intense.
A Piece of Your Mind: This romance isn’t what I normally think of when I think about Just Between Lovers, but the love story is beautiful and deep with a lot of heartbreak, and a unique setup that i personally loved.
Tumblr media
It’s Okay That’s Love: This is one of those classic k-dramas that I think everyone should watch. It’s one of the first k-dramas that tries to deal with mental illness the right way (it sort of does it and it sort of doesn’t) and it has a lot of melo romance moments with healing right in the center.
Thirty But Seventeen: This cutie has a lot of fun and silly moments but both characters are trying to heal from a tragic incident. There is co-habitation, wholesome characters and a lovely found family element.
Crash Landing On You: An epic k-drama about a chaebol who finds herself trapped in North Korea with a hottie soldier. I don’t really think of this drama as super angsty, but it really is because the two can’t be together and are in love - what ever will they do?
When the Camellia Blooms: A small town slice of life about a single mom who runs a bar and thinks she’s been cursed with bad luck. She’s so soft and sweet and her kid is amazing. It has a lovely romance, but it also has really interesting characters and focuses more on her which I really loved.
When The Weather is Fine: A quiet k-drama that takes place in a small town, mostly at a local book shop. The leads are both plagued with tragedy and fall hard for one another but let their own insecurities and issues get in the way. I have mixed feelings about the drama overall, but I really loved the softness of the couple when they get together.
Tumblr media
Goblin & Chicago Typewriter: Both of these mix historical back stories with modern day to create a beautiful love story. I’m partial to Chicago Typewriter because the historical element is so interesting and the angst is just screaming at you. But both are pretty fantastical so if you like one you’ll probably like the other. (Goblin is super popular but I like the secondary couple better than the main).
Just Between Lovers and Flower Of Evil: If these weren’t on my list I’d feel like I left something out. Just Between Lovers is one of my favorite k-dramas ever. It’s got slice of life elements, tragic backstory and a soft damaged boy (hi bb junho!). Flower of Evil hasn’t finished yet but I can tell it’s gonna rip my heart out so I’ll chance it and put this creepy and mysterious thriller romance on my list anyways.
xoxo, Shana

SERIES MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
What if you could get a second chance at love? What if it was the wrong time but the right person all along? Would you take it? This second chance?
Meet y/n, a 25 year old girl who had to revisit the city she once loved, Seoul. It was a city filled with both good and bad memories for her. When she left, she swore never to return. But here she is, back in Seoul, hoping to not run into a certain old flame that might reopen old wounds and remind her of how broken hearted she was back then.
prologue | chapter 1
prologue: here goes nothing.
2020, Singapore
Y/n sighed as her best friend, Angel, went on and on about how she disapproves of her decision to visit South Korea after a long time. “I really don’t get it, of all the countries around the world, you chose Seoul?” Angel exclaimed as she helped Y/n pack several of her jackets lying on the bed.
“I didn’t choose it, it’s where the client is so I got to go there and finish up a couple of meetings. Plus, it’s autumn season now, so the weather is going be quite comfortable and cold.” Y/n took a few pairs of her favorite jeans and packed them inside her luggage. Angel handed her a bag of skincare and makeup, frowning. “Still.. Seoul? I thought you wouldn’t want to be back there after..” Her voice trailed off, afraid to explicitly bring up the past in case it reminded Y/n of some unpleasant memories.
Y/n slowly zipped up her luggage and brought it down from her bed. She turned to see her best friend giving her a concerned expression. “It’s been three years,” Y/n sat down on her bed, staring at her bottom drawer at her nightstand, “I’ve moved on. Right now, all I care about is going to Seoul and get the meetings done once and for all. I’ll be back home as soon as everything is finished smoothly.” That was what she ever wanted, to complete the task her boss assigned her to do in Seoul and then fly back immediately. But life seemed to have a couple of surprises for her.
///
“So, are you all packed and ready for your flight tomorrow? What time is it?” Y/n’s mother asked as they sat down together for dinner. “Yup. The flight’s at seven in the morning, so I got to be at the airport by four-ish.” Y/n’s father cleared his throat before scooping some dish and placing it on Y/n’s bowl, “and you do not mind going to Korea again? After.. that incident.”
Y/n’s mother jabbed her chopsticks into the fried fish in front of her as she sighed. “Why wouldn’t she mind? It’s not as if she went through something very traumatic isn’t it? Couples break up here and there, you move on and when the right one comes along, you’ll know it.”
Y/n gave her parents a small smile especially at her mother for being truthfully candid. Her mother isn’t wrong, some relationships end, couples break up and they just moved on. It just so happened Y/n was one of them though her situation was a little uncommon but nevertheless, she has moved on and is happy right now.
///
After double checking everything in her luggage, Y/n settled into her bed, ready to sleep before her trip. She looked to her nightstand drawer and opened it. There lies a metal box. Y/n opened it and smiled at the first thing that she saw. A polaroid photo of her and him. She had whipped cream smeared on her cheeks, that was taken on her birthday a few years ago. Gosh, she looked so young then. Him too. Both were smiling so brightly like a typical couple in love.
She flipped the polaroid over and behind it was written:
y/n’s birthday! 사랑해!
Y/n chuckled as she remembered that day. Oh such simpler times when it was the whole “us against the world” notion. She continued rummaging through the box and found an old concert ticket and poster.
IDEAL CUT 2018
‘Ah, this ticket.. Guess I was blessed, not needing to pay for this.’ She thought as she stared at the poster. Thirteen faces staring back at her, but her eyes were just fixed on that one guy. “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss you, but I can’t. I can’t miss you.”
Y/n sighed as she closed the box, shoved it back to the drawer and went to bed. It’s no point thinking back about the past, she has moved on and it should remain this way.
///
“All passengers departing for Seoul, Incheon, please proceed to gate D twelve for boarding.. I repeat, all..”
Y/n hugged her parents and Angel as she got ready her passport and boarding pass. “Alright, I got to go. I’ll text all of you when I land okay? I will be back in a few weeks’ time.” Her parents waved her goodbye as they watched y/n walked into the transit area. Y/n would be lying if she said she wasn’t feeling anxious at the thought of visiting Korea after so long. Seoul was the place where she had a lot of fun and pleasant memories. It was the place where she experienced what love was really like. It was also the place where she did her exchanged program at Yonsei University back in 2017.
Flashback to Dec 2016, Seoul
It was a month to the start of Y/n’s exchange at Yonsei University. She opted for a year-long exchanged in order to earn extra credits rather than earning them through project work. Y/n decided to arrive a month before the exchange program start to settle down and familiarise herself with campus and the city. Back in Singapore, she took it upon herself to learn some basic Korean language after finding a hobby in watching k-dramas.
Instead of living in a dorm, she opted to rent an apartment just five minutes away from the university. She wasn’t the only tenant of course, housing alongside with her were two other girls from Yonsei as well – Hana and Choyi. Luckily for y/n, both knew how to speak basic English, so language wasn’t a problem.
Hana and Choyi threw y/n a small dinner party in the house on the night of her arrival. “Thank you for helping me unpack all my stuff, I couldn’t have done it without you guys’ help!” Y/n gratefully thanked the two girls as she raised her can of beer. “It’s nothing! We’re just glad to meet a new friend from overseas!” Hana grinned as she slurp her ramen. Choyi nodded, grinning as she chewed on the beef.
“Oh oh! Music Core is about to start!” Choyi grabbed the remote and switched the tv channel to MBC. “Is your favorite singer performing later?” Y/n chuckled as her eyes turned to the tv.
“Choyi’s a carat.” Choyi nodded excitedly to Hana’s reply.
Y/n’s eyes looked at them, confused. “Carrot? The veggie?” Hana burst out laughing while Choyi sighed, “not that carrot. Carat, as in, diamond carat. It’s just our fandom name.”
“Whose fandom name?”
“Them.” Y/n looked to the tv screen where Choyi was pointing.
Tumblr media
“They’re called Seventeen.”
On the screen stood what seemed like twelve or thirteen guys standing and dancing alongside fangirls screaming.
“Oh, I’ve heard of them! Didn’t they have this song called Mansae or something?” Y/n heard about the boygroup before but didn’t really pay attention to it because she wasn’t a fan of k-pop music but k-dramas instead.
“Omg yes! Are you a carat too?!” Choyi excitedly ask though her eyes were not leaving the tv screen even for a second. “Um, not really. I just heard of them heh.” Y/n gazed back onto the tv screen bringing her attention to that one particular member who caught her eye, oh, that guy is kinda good looking.
///
2020, enroute from Singapore to Seoul
“Ladies and gentlemen, we will begin our descent towards Incheon International Airport. Please ensure that your seats are upright, tray tables are stowed and..”
Y/n woke up to the landing announcement being made and adjusted her seat upright as she looked out the window. There it was. South Korea, the country filled with both good and bad memories.
Y/n sighed as she unbuckled her belt and waited for the cabin crew to open the doors. She was to make her journey to Seoul but the mere thought of it made her feel a little anxious. It’s fine right?
It’s a big city so the chances of bumping into people I know here is small. Very small. She comforted herself as she made her way to immigrations. Here goes nothing.

Think Note Vol #80: On My Own
Myojo 11.2019
(Translated from scans by MoMozzz32 on weibo.  The photos are also from her account.  Please let me know if there are any errors. I actually bought this month’s digital edition but could not get high quality screenshots from Kindle, so I am still using MoMozzz32’s scans.😅)
The comfort of being on my own; the joy of being in a large group. I like them both!
There are those who like to eat, shop, or vacation on their own. However, one thing that is more important than that is the irreplaceable time you spend with your comrades who are walking with you towards the same goal.
Tumblr media
----------
Recently, the “solo-ing” I am addicted to is riding the bicycle by myself. Actually, I was suffering from serious heat fatigue this summer, so I was not eating much. Then one day when I was changing, I guess my ribs were visibly protruding, Chinen (Yuri) got worried* and asked “are you ok?”... Although I didn’t notice it myself, I thought it was not good to keep going on like that, so I tried to eat as much as possible. Because of that, I gained a bit of my original body weight back. I went a little off topic here; the bicycle ride I mentioned earlier was part of my “move my body” campaign. When I got home from work, I got into the habit of riding my bike to the nearby park; when time permits, I just kept riding and [suddenly] I went 10km. It became a time for me to switch from “on” to “off” and to refresh.
* When Chinen produced Yamada’s “Seventeen” corner, he also arranged to “heal” him by letting him play with kids. I guess Chinen was really worried about Yamada’s health.
I have no problems going out by myself or going to eat on my own. Does that make me an expert at “solo-ing”? A few years ago, I went on a solo-trip to Korea; I also rode the Romancecar* to Hakone by myself. For that trip, since I already made such an effort [to get there], I went to the onsen, ate soba, and did a lot on my daytrip. Although it might be fun going together with someone, I was very satisfied that I got to ride the Romancecar like I wanted (laughs). Recently, I couldn’t go on a solo trip since I didn’t have time. However, there was a rare day when I was done with work at around 5pm, so I went to the cinema specifically to watch “Tenki no ko (Weathering with You)”! … But the showtime was 2 hours from then, so I tearfully switched to shopping mode.  I picked a houseplant, bought some cooking goods at an interior [furnishing] shop, and just having fun buying stuff in a while. On my way home, I went to a restaurant I frequented and chatted with the manager while eating there… I hadn’t even thought about inviting anyone for 1 millisecond. Doing whatever I want when I want to; there is nothing I enjoy more than my “solo-ing”.
* The Romancecar is an Odakyu limited express train that links Shinjuku with the popular holiday spots of Hakone, Enoshima and Kamakura.
… And although I am supposed to talk about the charms of being on my own, [lately,] I have been eating with the cast and staff of the drama “Semi Otoko” all the time. It is the first time I am on a film set where we eat together that often. Recently, I made a reservation at one of my favourite restaurants for around 8 of us to have shabu shabu. Everyone brought me a present to “thank me for the trouble”, so my fridge was packed! From sweet stuff to wine, I have not seen such a packed fridge before (laughs).  We talked excitedly at the restaurant, just like we did at the Utsusemi Apartments in the drama. Agawa (Sawako)-san and Dan (Fumi)-san even danced to “Fanfare! De Bon Odori”, which was shown at the end of [episode 6 of] the drama; when I saw how everyone looked at them, I thought, “what a great team”. Although I didn’t have any memory of what happened partway through… That day, I only slept for 2 hours, so I guess I fell asleep [in the middle]. When I woke up, there was nobody around. The people at the restaurant told me that everyone said “since Yamada-kun was tired”, they did not want to wake me up when they left. What a wonderful group of people…! Next day, when I saw them on set, I apologized to each of them one by one (laughs).
“I’m fine on my own*… but I like being with everyone too.” - Ryosuke
* I’m having a little trouble with the quote. It’s one of those where I know every word, but I’m not 100% sure what he meant, so I basically just filled in what I think he meant.😅 If I got it wrong, please let me know.

No Interruptions
((A/N: This one was another request that I completed a while back for someone!))
Pairing: JunxReader
Genre: Fluff/Smut
Word Count: 3,960
Summary: It’s too early in the morning for Jun to be this flirty and funny and endearing, but you’ve always been rather weak to his charms no matter the time of day, even though you’re 100% certain that it’s all just fun and games to him. On his one day off, Jun shows you just how much his feelings for you are not all fun and games.
                                                   *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Deep breaths. Steady pace. The morning breeze cool against your skin, combating the sweaty heat pouring from you. Early morning runs were your ritual, partly because you were an early riser anyway and partly because there were less patrons around to ogle at you. Four years living in South Korea in the same city, same neighborhood with the same people and somehow, you still stopped traffic as people craned their necks to get a good look at you. Guess you would always be ‘the foreigner’, no matter how integrated you were in the culture.
Taking a break at the half way mark on your back home, you paced back and forth as you panted, taking a swig of your water to rehydrate yourself. The ringing of your phone interrupted your breathing exercises as well as the music once blaring in your earphones. Removing your phone from your hip, you saw a name that never failed to put a smile on your face or send your heart galloping through the fields.
“Morning, Jun.”
“Morning, Beautiful,” the raspy morning voice greeted you, your ears burning at the sound, “What are you doing?”
“What I do every morning,” you answered.
“Think about me?” God, you could practically hear that lovable smirk he no doubt had on his face.
You shook your head with our eyes rolling to the sky, feeling warm all over and grateful that he couldn’t see your blush darkening, “How are you such a flirt this early in the morning?”
“Any time’s a good time to flirt with you.”
‘He’s just teasing. Don’t get your hopes up,’ you warned yourself as Jun chuckled on the other end.
“Are you on your run, Y/N?” he asked, beginning to sound more awake.
“Naturally. Did you need something? Are you guys okay?” You became a little worried, a frown finding home on your face. It might seem too early for any of them to be getting into mischief, but with Seventeen and their psycho schedule, one can never be too certain.
“Everyone’s fine, so wipe that frown off of that pretty face of yours.” How did he know? “I, on the other hand, would definitely love to get a picture of you in your workout clothes. I bet your skin is glistening so beautifully right now. And you like to wear those crop tops on your run, too, right?”
It was too early for Jun to be doing this to you! You covered your eyes with your hands and resisted the urge to groan; that would only encourage him and you weren’t strong enough at the present time.
“Jun! Why are you like this?!” you cried.
His resonating laugh filled your ears and you found yourself snickering along with him. “Anyway, I have the day off today and was hoping we could hang out.”
“What, did all of your other friends turn you down already?” you teased, leaning back against a nearby railing to stretch your leg, “How sad.”
“It’s cute how you think I want to see anyone other than you. You know you’re my favorite.”
Goddammit! Your heart couldn’t take much more of this, his words giving you delicious hope as you secretly relished in every sweet word that poured out of his mouth all too naturally.
“So what’s up? Do you think you can hang out with me today? Please don’t break my heart and say no.” You heard him say, his voice dropping to a deep, persuasive tone that he knew you couldn’t resist. How could he not know? He’s used it on you countless times and gotten exactly what he wanted out of you without complaint on each occasion.
“I can hang out, you drama queen. Your place or mine?”
“Yours. I refuse to spend my one, rare day off competing against 12 other guys for your attention, especially since you’re my friend first.”
“Jesus, Jun, you are really trying to butter me up today!” And if he continued, you weren’t even going to be able to recover. Like ever.
“Have I ever told you that I love your weird little foreign phrases?”
Okay, that one sounded too sarcastic to be flirty. “What time did you want to come over?” you asked, checking the time on your phone.
“As soon as you’ll allow me. All I have to do is get dressed and then I’m there.”
“Slow down. At least give me a couple of hours to finish my run, take a shower and eat some breakfast,” you said, standing straight and starting off on a fast walk.
“You have an hour. I’ll stop and get us breakfast on my way there. I’ll get your favorite, so don’t worry. I’ll see you soon, Y/N.”
“See you soon, Jun. Be safe.”
“I’m supposed to say that to you since you’re out there jogging by yourself. Be careful.”
And you both hung up, your smile growing and your heart stuttering as you found a sudden rush of energy that propelled you forward faster. Three years knowing Jun and you still weren’t used to his charming, flirty definition of friendship. You met him when he was still just a trainee for Pledis and you and a friend were doing some freelance social media promotion work in the building. Your friendship took off immediately upon first meeting, the both of you connecting on a profound level since you were both foreigners in Korea and still struggling a bit with the language.
You were attracted to him right off the bat, drowning in his glistening brown eyes and wrecked by his stunning smile. You weren’t completely taken with him, though, until a year later when you literally looked up one day after learning every little detail and secret he had to share and realized that he was perfect.
You had fallen in love and it was the most beautifully terrifying experience of your life. Naturally shy and something of an introvert, you reveled in Jun’s shining personality, but retreated from it in the same breadth. You never felt good enough to be with him if only for the reason that you were too quiet and dim in comparison to his bright charisma. He needed someone who complemented him and that wasn’t you.
Still, you couldn’t stand the idea of never having him in your life, so even if it means repressing your feelings, you could live with just being friends.
It was all you could do. Nearly sprinting the last half mile back to your apartment, you run up the steps and through the door, noting you had a half hour to shower. Your skin was gleaming with sweat as you set your things down, grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom. You looked at yourself in the mirror, stripping off your clothes crop top first. You suddenly blushed red, recalling Jun’s earlier request for a picture of your unruly, sweaty self.
“He’s so ridiculous,” you mumbled, stepping under the water and indulging in a well-deserved shower.
30 minutes exactly goes by. You had just slipped into a comfortable, casual outfit when a beat came at the door, Jun acting silly like always. You rolled your eyes and trekked to the door where you flung it open. The greeting you received was warm and smelled so good, Jun’s cologne making you dizzy as he wrapped you in his embrace.
“Hey Jerry,” you greeted back with his American name, giggling when he nuzzled his nose into your neck; he knew you were particularly ticklish there.
“Hey, Y/N,” he mumbled against your warm skin, using the Chinese name he gave you as a joke, you assumed, and squeezing you tight.
When you pulled back, he flashed you his winning smile and held up two plastic bags proudly. You noted the logo on the bags with delight filling your body.
“You really did get my favorite,” you gushed, peeking into one of the bags, “Either I was really nice to you recently or you want something from me.”
You crossed your arms and smiled playfully, Jun rolling his eyes in return. “Why do I have to explain myself every time I want to spoil?” he asked with a chuckle, turning you around by your shoulders and leading you into the living room, “And the only thing I want from you is your attention. So come on, let’s eat. I’m starving.”
He walked around you to start setting the food up on the coffee table. You stopped to watch him in return, admiring the effortless way he moved and the serene expression resting on his face. Your heart reached out to him, your hand resting on your chest where it skipped happily. IT seemed so unfair to have such a beautiful man so close to you with chance of ever calling him yours.
“Ah, I forgot drinks,” he muttered, bringing you out of your reverie as he looked slightly disappointed in himself.
“That’s fine. I have drinks. I’ll get them,” you said, already going into the kitchen.
When you came back, Jun was sprawled out on the couch, the remote to your TV in hand as he flipped through the channels. You dropped the canned drink on his stomach, getting a laugh out of his grunt before you dropped down in front of the coffee table for breakfast. Jun settled on some variety show the both of you enjoyed and then sat up to join you.
The morning passed lazily into the afternoon, the hours pacing by in warm, intimate companionship. The only interruption that came in random intervals was the ding of a text message coming into your phone, pulling your attention away from the show, and from Jun, to answer it. He ignored it the first few times, but when they became more frequent, Jun became more curious. Laying out on the sofa with you still sitting on the floor directly in front of him and his fingers absently playing with your hair, his eyes cut to your phone when it rang again on the coffee table. You picked it up, but he swiftly plucked it from your hold.
“Who are you texting so much?” he asked with a chuckle, snooping through the contact, “Who’s taking all of your attention away from me?”
“It’s not like that,” you answered indignantly with a blush, “He’s just a classmate needing help with our group project.”
“He!?” That seemed to be the only thing Jun hear. “Why does he need to ask you so many questions? Why doesn’t he ask the others in your group? You really know how to make me jealous.”
He flashed you a look, playful yet heated, making you swallow your tongue. What was that all of a sudden? It didn’t feel the same as every other time he teased you. Another message came through and you reached for your phone, but he moved it out of the way.
“Jun, please, I need to answer him. I understand his part of the project better than the others do,” you implored, rising on your knees to reach again.
“Doesn’t he know your busy spending time with me? He gets to see you every day for class while I only get to see you on rare days like this. Who does he thing he is to keep interrupting? Does he think he’s your boyfriend or something?”
Jun smirked sexily at you and you were sure he was getting a good laugh out of your blushing face. Another message and he had enough, pressing the guy’s name to call him. Your easily mortified self panicked.
“Yah! What are you doing?!” you hissed as Jun placed your phone to his ear, “Stop it! Don’t call him!”
He blocked you from taking the phone back and turned away. His smile was huge, his chuckle stuck in his throat until your classmate answered. “This is Do Young, right? I know it’s impossible to get any work done without Y/N’s brilliant mind, but you’re interrupting our time together and I don’t appreciate it very much.”
You screamed internally, scrambling up from the floor and jumping on top of him in a fight for your phone. He was making it sound like you guys were dating!
“This is her boyfriend-” That is not helping! “And my job keeps me from spending as much time with her as I would like, so I’m sure you can imagine how precious a day like today is to me.”
“Jun, you idiot!” you proclaimed, taking a throw pillow and bashing his head with it, the man retaliating by flipping you under him and pinning you down. “Ah! What are you doing?!”
“Do me a favor, man to man: save anymore questions you may have until tomorrow so I can enjoy my day off with my girl.”
“JUN!”
“That’s her calling for me right now. Good luck with the project. Work hard so Y/N gets an ‘A’.” He hung up, looking smug when you snatched the phone back and pounded your fist on his chest, ignoring how hard it felt under your fingers.
“Jun, that was too much!” you whined cutely, continuing to hit his chest and far too aware of him still straddling you, “What possessed you to do that?! What’s he going to think of me?!”
He shrugged, “That you have a loving, attentive boyfriend that adores you.”
“I swear, you can’t just-” And you were off, so flustered by the incident that you didn’t realize you had slipped into your native language half way through.
Jun let you ramble, thoroughly lost but highly entertained, enjoying watching your lips move. Only when you went to cover your eyes with your hands did he swoop in for the kill. You gasped, the ghostly touch of his kiss stopping your heart as your hands flew to rest on his shoulders.
“J-Jun?” you whispered, confused and bambi-eyed as he pulled away.
HE was as calm as ever, lowering himself down on top of you with his forearm supporting his weight. The world became full of Jun, his heat and eyes trapping you. Was this a new game he was playing? Because although you enjoyed it, you did not appreciate it!
“You’re so cute when you get flustered and start speaking in your native language,” he teased, snickering, “And when your cheeks turn this color…” his thumb brushed the apple of your cheeks where the heat of your blush burned the hottest, “And when you look at me like that.”
“S-S-Stop teasing m-me,” you stuttered, heart pounding erratically against your ribcage.
“You deserve it for making me so jealous.”
“W-What? What are you talking about?”
“Ah, such a dense girl.”
“Hey!”
“Have you honestly not caught on yet? Do you think I Talk to everyone the same way I talk to you? Do you think I’m in love with everyone?”
Hold on. Wait a minute! That was not a statement easily comprehended with your addled mind, eyes frozen wide and lips parted invitingly. Jun couldn’t help but to have another, brief taste of your sweet mouth that startled you, a sharp gasp filling your senses with his scent.
“If you haven’t figured it out yet, ten you deserve to get teased like this. Especially for talking to that guy so much when I’m right here, making me jealous and confess to you like this,” he whispered against your lips, rolling a kiss onto your cheek, “I wonder how else I can tease you…”
You felt his fingers drifting up your side, caressing you, his thumb resting just underneath your breast. You shuddered as a rush of desire washed through you, your body loving his gentle attention, but your mind stunned…scared. If this were really real, if your wildest dream was really coming true and Jun was laying on top of you, whispering his confession against your infinitely pink cheeks, then there was a lot to fear.
“You’re being really quiet, baby…” You focused on his moon-round eyes, ears burning at your new pet name, “What are you thinking about?”
“You,” you answered, seeking answers in his eyes as your hand drifted up and down his chest idly, “And how you just confessed to me. Me, of all people…a foreigner. I’m also thinking about your fans and the backlash this will bring if it got out.”
“We don’t have to go public now, if you don’t want to,” he stated, gripping your hand and moving to place it against his chest where his fluttering heart tried to fly away, “We can wait until you’re ready. I kind of like the idea of keeping you all to myself for a while, anyway.”
“…You’re serious about this.” It wasn’t a question, your eyes trained the way Jun held your fingers securely, his thumb stroking your knuckles, “You really do…”
“Love you?” he finished, unable to resist kissing your blushing cheeks, his chuckle resonating in his chest, “Of course I’m serious. I wouldn’t joke about my feelings like this, especially not with you.” He studied your face, saw the uncertainty and fear clear in your eyes. “But you still don’t believe me. Maybe I should prove it to you?”
“Prove…it?” you parroted, your mouth dropping open when nudged himself between your legs, spreading them to rest on his thighs, “W-What do you…mean?”
God, there was that sexy smirk of his that had the power to make you do anything he asked of you, his fingers tiptoeing over the waist of your pants before they were unbuttoning them and slipping inside, carefully caressing you through your panties. He leaned down just in time to catch your gasp in a sensual kiss, moving at a slow pace with his tongue sliding into your mouth. There was a gush of your desire that drenched your panties, your hips involuntarily rolling in time to his fingers’ touch.
“Let me show you,” he murmured, smiling in delight and then dipping below your waist.
It was a blissful twenty minutes of oral pleasure, your pants and panties having been discarded long ago and your top thrown into some obscure part of the room. You couldn’t bring yourself to look down, but you could imagine perfectly Jun’s head rocking back and forth as his tongue rolled into your sex, taking a thorough taste. His technique involved lots of teasing and clit-play, rolling the tip of his tongue around your pleasure button before sucking it hungrily.
It was driving you insane, your back arching and your fingers locked in his hair, caught between wanting him to stop and wanting to cum so bad. Jun would have been smiling with pride if his mouth weren’t already preoccupied with indulging in his new favorite dessert. The moans and mewls that spilled from your pretty lips had him harder than Advanced Calculus, his cock straining against his jeans something fierce. He attempted to rub himself through the denim material to alleviate some of the pressure- it only made him want you more.
“J-Jun…” you breathed, breasts heaving and your head tossed back, your fingers tightening in his locks, “Mmm…Yes, right…Oh, I think I’m going to cum…Oh!”
Your toes curled on his back, catching in his shirt as a warning to your approaching orgasm. A well-deserved one after enjoying the slow building pleasure for twenty minutes, but Jun couldn’t hold back anymore. He had to have you…he needed to be inside of you…he needed to cum with you. With great reluctance- he really would have loved to have you cum on his tongue- he pulled away from your dripping pussy, hearing you whine in need.
“Not yet, baby. Soon,” he promised, his voice a husky rasp as his lips mashed against yours.
You tasted yourself in the kiss, left with the flavor when he pulled away to remove his shirt, jeans and underwear. He was every bit as sexy and fit as you imagined him to be underneath his clothes, tanned skin gleaming in the light pouring from your windows. Your eyes found themselves trained to his member as soon as it bounced free from its prison, standing at attention and more than likely throbbing with desire. Your core pulsed, your juices leaking onto the couch- he was gorgeous.
From inside his wallet, he produced a condom, the shiny package glimmering in the light before he tore it open and rolled the rubber down his shaft. He was back on top of you instantly, claiming your lips in sloppy, sensual kisses while his fingers dipped inside of your core, stretching you carefully and preparing you for penetration. When he felt you were ready, he pressed the head of his cock against your entrance, watching your face intently as it bloomed with your pleasure. Slowly…so very slowly, he pushed inside of you, watching for any signs of pain or discomfort and immediately kissing them away.
When he bottomed out, you had no idea you had been holding your breath, a rush of air escaping you the minute his hips melded to yours. “So tight…” he grunted, dragging his hips back and then thrusting forward, relishing in your soft whines, “So hot…God, it’s perfect.”
He pulled back again and then thrust forward. The pattern slow, methodical, careful until he had a steady rhythm that rocked your back into ecstasy. His cock stroked in and out of your pulsing sex, your eyes locked as you made love. You could hardly handle the intensity of his searing look, your arm coming up to cover your face to avoid it. Jun would have none of it, wrenching your arm back and lacing your fingers together, pinning you to the armrest.
“Don’t hide from me, Y/N,” he gasped, “Keep looking at me. I want to see you. I want to see your face when you come.”
“Jun…”
“Y/N…”
He dove down to take a pert nipple in his mouth, nibbling the soft mounds of your chest until dark red hickies decorated the otherwise flawless flesh that was yours. He was getting close, his balls tightening and his speed increasing. You could hardly contain your moaning as they reached the ceiling and beyond, wrapping your arms around his neck when he moved them there. This freed his hand to grip at your hips, tugging you up closer while he hammered into you. Your earlier pleasure now had you teetering on the brink of release, Jun stretching you and stroking you to near completion.
“J-Jun! Jun! Jun!” you chanted, screaming when he rotated his hips and then slammed against your g-spot.
Three more strokes and the wave crested, your orgasm crashing down on you as your body locked up and your pussy tightened around his shaft. His name was on your lips; as if he were the only thing you knew and remembered anymore. The minute you squeezed him tight like a vice was the minute Jun himself locked up and thrust inside of you once more, emptying himself into the condom while shouting your name, the most beautiful word he knew.
The air was hot and heavy around you two, withering together like flowers onto the sofa. You fought to catch your breath, Jun peppering your neck and shoulder in lazy, lethargic kisses. He was mumbling something, words you couldn’t quite catch in your post-orgasmic daze.
“…you…love you…I love you…I love you…I love you…”
“I love you, too,” you whispered, stroking his sweaty back with your hands, “I love you so much.”
“You’re mine from now on, baby. Y/N. My Y/N.”
“Mmm…”
He slowly rose up on his forearm, smiling softly and brushing your damp hair out of your face before cupping your cheek. His kisses, once desperately hot and needy, were sweet as they rained on your lips, gentle pecks that made your heart quiver and muted the entire world.

school sucks as usual, so here’s a little Mark lee fluff to make any crap thing that happened today, yesterday or that is going to happen all better!
Enjoy reading~
“Aw, you guys are so cute together!” You and Mark looked up and over to Johnny who had walked in the room. At the moment Mark was helping you with some of the Korean that you were studying.
“Why are you saying that?” You said to Johnny.
“Because you guys are so cute! You could be a really good couple.” Both you and Mark snickered at that.
“Yeah sure, us dating.” Both of you were under pretty mutual terms and never really considered dating despite you being the same age.
“Johnny, I really have to study so is there some reason why you came in here?” He shook his head, you sighed to that but returned to looking at the book as Mark explained the next word to you. Johnny remained in the room for a bit longer before he turned out with a small giggle. Once he left you and Mark looked to each other.
“What do you think that was about?”
“Nothing, I just think he was watching some drama and he’s all romance filled.” You laughed to Mark and soon you both returned to studying.
Your friendship with Mark was a close one, since you had moved to Korea when you were seventeen, you pretty much knew nothing about the language or the culture, but according to your parents, who arranged to move due to their job, things could be worse. You met Mark when you started to get into Kpop and found NCT, and as a gift your parents explained that they would get you anything you wanted on your first birthday in Korea and you had asked to go to a concert and a fansign event for NCT. It all went pretty smoothly, but soon when you began to work at a store as a summer job having nothing else to do, Mark had saw you and recognized you from the fansign. From there any time he went into the store he’d talk to you, soon you guys realized that you were the same age and since you spoke English it was easier for him to talk to you too. Now here you sat inside of the SM building with him studying up on how to speak and read Korean.
“I can’t take anymore of this!” You shut your book with the pencil inside and threw your head back groaning out. “I never even wanted to learn French back home, but now I have to learn another whole language too?” He chuckled.
“You took French?”
“Yeah, everyone was taking Spanish and my mom knows a little, she said it’s hard… plus French had less classes to complete it, it only had three, Spanish had four!” He laughed to you.
“Well if you need anymore help it’ll have to be the day after tomorrow.”
“Are you filming something?”
“No, recording.” You perked up.
“Spoiler?” He gave you a small smile.
“Just because you know me doesn’t mean I’m gonna let you know things before everyone else.” You sunk back in your chair.
“Fine then.” Mark got up grabbing his jacket, you did as well grabbing your things. “Then you better make this really good.”
“Like our music isn’t good already?” You made a face, “Look that’s not funny,” You laughed.
“I’m kidding, you’re music is awesome okay?” He put on his jacket. “Now go have fun or whatever.” He nodded to you and went in another direction, you went opposite to him and passed by the dorm where Johnny, Doyoung, Taeyong and Ten were. You knew pretty much the basics of Korean so you could speak to them.
“Bye, I’m leaving.” They turned and waved to you.
“See you.” Most of them responded, you kept walking and left out of their dorm. Johnny waited a bit before he spoke up.
“Guys?” They looked to him. “Don’t you think (Y/N) and Mark are cute together?” Doyoung nodded.
“Yeah, they’re both younger and (Y/N) is really nice.”
“No I mean like a couple cute together.” Doyoung laughed a bit.
“You want them to date?” Taeyong asked,
“I mean yeah, think about it: (Y/N) moved here last year, she probably doesn’t have any friends besides us and we’re not really friends she can hang out with normally, they’re like the same age and they have a lot in common! It’s a perfect set up for a couple!”
“So you want them to date because you think they’re good for each other?” Ten said.
“I know it sounds selfish, but I’m just looking out for them. I think it would be good if they got together. They might be really happy together.” Taeyong shrugged.
“I mean, if they like each other than they should, but we shouldn’t force anything.”
“Or they shouldn’t date at all, they’re better as friends.” Doyong said.
“I don’t know, I think it’d be weird for them to date especially since they don’t really know each other yet.”
“That’s the perfect time for dating!” Johnny exclaimed, Taeyong smiled to him.
“Well I think we should let things happen, if they’re meant to be then they’re meant to be. Otherwise we shouldn’t force something.” Johnny sighed knowing he wasn’t going to convince them.
“Aw, you really want them together?” Ten said, Johnny gave him a look as not to say anymore. Ten got it and returned to what he was doing.
...
It was late now and you were sitting in your room aimlessly looking on things on your phone. It was about an hour later when you were about to get off, but instead vapp went off and you saw that NCT was having a live stream. You wondered why it was so late at night, but you still clicked on it and was bombarded at the loud sound of all 18 members screaming. You hurried and turned your phone down, and sighed.
“I swear…” You mumbled to yourself, as you listened to what they were saying now. Part of the reason why you watched these was to understand more Korean and see what you could recognize, it actually helped a lot. You laughed along with the little bit that you did understand while most times you were simply laughing because they were. As you were watching, you were looking at them all but seeing Mark you suddenly thought back to what Johnny had said before. Honestly it was mainly what Mark said in response. It didn’t seem like he was trying to be mean, but something about it bothered you.
I mean you were datable right? Just not with Mark, you guys were friends. You sat on it for a bit and before you knew it they were saying bye on the screen, you sighed and moved on from it. It was late now and you were beyond tired so you turned off your light and got under your sheets to sleep.
Within the next few days you had been studying on your own as Mark’s schedule filled up with various things and appearances he had to do, you didn’t mind and kept yourself busy either by looking at other groups you liked or studying on your own. Your parents were almost never around the house and whenever they were it was pretty normal, nothing too bad or too good. It was late in the afternoon now, your parents wouldn’t be home for another two hours but you always made dinner if they texted asking you to cook, if they didn’t you’d just make something for yourself and call it a night. As you were going to cook your phone went off. You answered without checking who it was.
“Hello?”
“Are you busy right now?” Mark said.
“Well hello to you too, no I’m not busy, what’s up?”
“I’m kind of hungry and everyone else already ate because I got back to late.”
“So I’m your last resort?”
“It’s not like that, come on, I don’t wanna eat alone.” You giggled to his whining.
“Alright, do you wanna go out somewhere?”
“Yeah, that’s cool.”
“Alright, pick the place and we’ll meet there.” Mark told you where to go and you hung up getting your things before leaving out to meet him.
You and Mark met up at a pretty empty place you and him liked to eat at, you had pretty much no idea on what to order since you didn’t eat out as much as you used to, so you put your faith in Mark and had him order something for you. Thankfully the food was good so you asked for another serving. Mark laughed when you did so. You looked to him as the server left.
“Something funny?” You said.
“Yeah, you just ate what Johnny eats in a day for dinner.”
“Okay, it’s not that serious, and who cares? I know I eat a lot.”
“I thought girls cared about how much they ate?”
“Well you thought wrong because I’m not like that. If I’m hungry I eat to fill up.”
“Coming from someone who has to diet most of the time, I wish I could think like that.” You and Mark talked the rest of the afternoon away and by the time your dinner was over he walked with you back to your house. Seeing your apartment in the distance you looked up to where your room was.
“Oh, my parents are back.”
“How can you tell?”
“My dad always forgets to turn off the living room lamp off, it shines right through the window, see?”
“Ah,” He paused, “You don’t talk a lot about your parents, or your family.” You shrugged.
“Why should I? Besides you never ask me.”
“I’m just saying, someone might want to know that stuff about you.”
“Yeah maybe someone I’m spending the rest of my life with, but we’re not even together enough for that to matter.” Mark chuckled awkwardly to that, though you didn’t notice that.
“Well maybe one day we can talk about… stuff like that.” You laughed.
“Okay did you eat something bad? Cause’ you’re starting to sound really weird.”
“It’s weird to worry about a friend?”
“No, but it’s weird to want to know so much about a person's personal life.” You smiled. “Even if it is weird, if you’re that curious one day we’ll talk, it’s just normal boring stuff anyways.” You said. Mark said nothing when you got to a cross road. “Thanks for treating tonight too.” He nodded as you kept walking but turned to walking backward. “Night Mark,” He waved.
“Yeah, see you later.” You smiled and turned normally and walked to your apartment building. Mark watched you for a second now thinking that it was kind of strange for him to be so worried about your personal life like that. He started walking back to the dorm and tried to get his mind somewhere else.
...
Though things weren’t changing, you and Mark both started to feel a bit... differently(?) towards one another. You both understood that it had to have been because of what Johnny said two weeks ago, it got you both thinking about what it would be like to date each other. Still, you both pushed it off as a simple question and figured you’d never actually consider dating each other. So you still hung out and nothing was awkward between the two of you. That was until fairly recently, Mark had explained that they were having a concert and they’d be gone for about half a month. They’d be leaving once the month ended however. So you all decided that you’d spend most of your time at the dorm with them until they left since they were pretty much the only reason you ever left your home in the first place.
“Hey, (Y/N)?” Mark called out to you.
“Yeah?” He found you with your feet up looking at your phone.
“Wanna go out with me somewhere?”
“Where?” You didn’t turn to him.
“Just anywhere, I’m bored right now.” You smiled and looked back to him.
“Sure, but if I see anything I like we’re stopping there.”
“Okay fine.” You and Mark left and pretty much just walked around the city doing pretty much nothing. You guys stopped and every store and since it was getting late in the day almost no one was around in most places. You guys went into a book store and Mark decided to go and see if there was anything he wanted to read, you sat down and while Mark was fascinated by the covers of most of the books. Though you didn’t want to say it, your leg had been hurting the whole time you were walking. You had been doing something the night before and your foot was sore from it now, it pained you to even move the thing. You were sure it wasn’t broken, but it sure hurt.
“(Y/N) check out this- woah what happened?” You were late covering your leg back up and just kept it out.
“I just hurt it last night.” Mark sat down beside you.
“Doing what?” You shook your head. “Look I can’t help you if you don’t tell me what you were doing.”
“It’s not broken!” You said with a little laugh.
“I’m serious, this thing looks like it hurts.”
“Yeah, like I don’t know.” Mark sighed getting frustrated by you, something you didn’t like to do. “Okay, I was… dancing.” You mumbled the last bit.
“What?” He said loud in your ear.
“I was dancing!” You said with the same volume, “It was actually me working out, but I was just trying some of your choreographies.” You said now with a timid voice.
“Don’t tell me you twisted your foot or something.”
“I wouldn’t be walking if I did that… no I was trying out some of your moves and I messed up on one of them, I think it’ll be fine after a little while.” Mark nodded and gave his attention to your foot and started to massage it. “Why do you spin so much in your moves?” He shrugged.
“It’s not my fault what the directors want.” You said feeling Mark put pressure on your ankle, “Why were you even working out anyways? You don’t look like the type of person who would.”
“I know fat people don’t work out right…” You mumbled, he looked to you.
“I didn’t say you were fat, just that you seem pretty okay with your body.”
“Of course I have to be, you can’t be upset at yourself all the time, but I hate how my body is, my stomach has always been big and I have these big hips I can’t get rid of…” You took a small breath.
“Hey, I’m sorry.” He said, “I really didn’t mean it like that, I just figured you liked how your body was… plus I don’t really see any problem with you, you look beau- uh, you look fine to me.” You turned to him, he refused to make eye contact with you. So you just smiled and returned looking at Mark’s hands.
“Well all I want is my stomach to be a bit smaller, I pretty much love everything else.” Mark smiled and focused on your foot for a bit.
“Does it feel better?” He asked, you nodded and put your foot down putting pressure on it.
“Yeah, thanks, and I really mean that.” He smiled to you. You moved to put your shoe back on.
“By the way,” You looked to him, “You remember that one video where I said body like an hourglass?” You smiled knowing what he was referring to. “That’s what you have.” You hit Mark’s arm. “Ow!”
“You’re such a pervert!” You got up, he caught up with you.
“I wasn’t finished, I was gonna say it’s not a bad thing!” You stopped. “It’s a really good thing.” You huffed and kept walking until you were out of the book store, at the moment you didn’t want to think about Mark ogling over your body, you wanted to stop the massive blush growing on your cheeks.
You and Mark had strange exchanges since then, that almost made being around each other difficult. They were going to be in Korea for another three days and for some reason you honestly didn’t want them to leave. Namely Mark. Suddenly you couldn’t help the thoughts that went in your head whenever you rewatched their videos; instead of watching them all, your eyes would gravitate towards Mark. You tried to wrap your head around why this was happening, then suddenly it hit you. Before the sun even came up you had been sitting in your bed thinking about why things with Mark got the way they did.
It was all Johnny’s fault! It was his fault that you wanted to date Mark now! You realized this at the crack of dawn and figured that since he was leaving for a while things would be alright if you came out with how you felt now. You did wonder if it would distract him but… things couldn’t wait, you hoped for the best as you got dressed and texted Mark if you guys could meet somewhere private.
As you waited for Mark you couldn’t help but be a bit jittery. You didn’t know that having feelings for someone could be this deep, it caused you to take deep breaths almost every second.
“Hey,” You turned and saw Mark entering the room. “What’s up?” You didn’t know what to say. What you wanted to just left you brain and you stood there staring at him. “Is something wrong?” You shook your head and felt your heartbeat suddenly increase. What was this? You shook your head once more and spoke.
“Okay, uh, I really hope I can say this but uh…” You looked to him. “Do you remember like about a month ago when Johnny said that weird thing about us being a couple?”
“Yeah,”
“Well I kept thinking about it.” Mark’s eyes went wide.
“I did too!” He said.
“Well I was kind of confused at first,” Mark agreed nodding his head, “I mean we can’t go out right?” He kept nodding. “So I kind of forgot about it… but then I figured I should at least give my thoughts about it. Then just this morning I thought about you guys leaving and-” You cut yourself off, while you were trying to regain your thoughts Mark was about to speak to.
“I think we should go out.” You both said, hearing each other’s words both your eyes went wide.
“Wait… you w-want to go out with me too?” You asked Mark.
“I should be asking you that" Mark said, "I thought you were going to say something like you did have feelings, but they’re gone now.”
“Where did you even get that from anything I said,” You paused feeling all of your stress just leave you. “Man… I really wasn’t thinking you’d even want to consider dating me, I was expecting to have to tell you don’t worry about me and just focus on your concerts and stuff.” He chuckled.
“I guess we both thought the same thing huh?” You looked to him. “... So are we like… I mean officially?”
“Should we?” He looked at you, “I mean we could know we’re together, but I think saying something would make it feel like we have to act like a couple and I don’t really want to. I really like just being your friend who you’re also dating.” He let out a breath.
“I was hoping you’d say that.” You both looked to each other before cracking a smile and laughing at the tension in the room. When you guys calmed down Mark spoke up again.
“Well we only have three days left until I leave what do you want to do?”
“I think we have all the time in the world now, but we can hang out just so you won’t miss me too much.”
“Nah, I think it’s the other way around.” You laughed, you and Mark left out of the room and started up the stairs, while you were walking together your hands brushed against one another until Mark fully grabbed your hand intertwining it in his.
We’ll have plenty of time together

South Korea’s impact… at least for me.
Everyone probably knows that Korean pop music and Korean dramas are everywhere.
Tumblr media
I for one like listening to Kpop music, and sometimes I watch Kdrama too. So here are some reasons to justify my blog’s title.
 ·         Fashion: Their fashion is one of the reasons why I like South Korea! From the simplicity of the clothes makes it into something that looks effortlessly beautiful. I’m a person who likes to doll myself up, I like fixing myself in almost all possible occasions. I always want to look presentable in whatever scenario. Though I’m also the kind of person who doesn’t want to put too much work in order to look good. I don’t want to waste lots of time preparing, I always want things to be done in a matter of minutes. That’s why I adore Korean Fashion, it doesn’t take up too much time preparing, just pop in a shirt, skinny jeans and a pair of converse and you’re good to go. Even if you’re going to attend an event that requires you to wear formal clothes, I usually just search some ideas on pinterest and after a few minutes of searching and finding similar clothes in my closet, I’m all set to go.

·         Makeup: Since I first started cosplay, I was also introduced to makeup. I always did heavy eyeliners and eyeshadows before because I did western makeup much often before. I always searched for makeup that would make me look older. Because I literally look like a kid, and everyone would also assume that I am even if I am now a-soon-to-be 20 year-old woman. My height isn’t helping either so, I decided to just accept my physical features, it’s who I am and it makes me unique from other people. Anyways, accepting one’s self is difficult. It’s not just one press of a button and everything changes.

IT. IS. NOT. It takes a lot of time to convince yourself that you are fine just the way you are, especially that society has a lot of standards these days. Once I finally accepted myself, I began to look for a more natural makeup routine and while stumbling upon Kdramas, I got to know their makeup too. Same as the one I mentioned above, It’s simple yet it’ll make you look elegant, effortlessly.
·         Music: People would usually say “How do you appreciate kpop songs if you can’t understand the lyrics” –well my friend, that’s exactly why their songs are beautiful. The language is not the barrier, it is what it is. Their language itself is beautiful. Honestly speaking, it made me study Hangul (Korean language), I got so fascinated that I am now self-studying their language. Other than their melodies, their lyrics are very meaningful.
Tumblr media
The group that I like the most is Seventeen. They have the title “self-producing idols”. From their songs til’ their choreography, it is always made by them. From this being said, it is already enough to understand how much I adore their music. When I feel insecure, I’ll just play their song “Pretty U” and I would literally feel loved. I could feel how powerful their songs are even if the melody is soft. If I feel sad, I could play their song “hug”, If I have a bad day, just play “clap” and if you have a crush on someone just play “hello” or choose among their songs, there are a lot.
Kpop music in general also made my passion for dancing and singing come back. I lost my passion ever since my mom had passed away. Without discovering these things, I would’ve never enrolled under mass communications. Then I wouldn’t have met all these awesome friends that I have right now.

30 2 Days of Character Development
Day 2: Questions 16-30
+ Day Sixteen: If your muse could do a special stage with another artist or idol group, who would it be and why? What song would they perform?
She wants to perform with Yiren (any of the Femme Fatale girls, really) because she likes their style and thinks it would mesh well with her own personal style, even within Wish as a group. She would want to perform something from one of her favorite older groups, or a really emotional ballad to showcase their vocals.
+ Day Seventeen: How would your muse fare in a variety show? If your muse could appear on any variety show, which variety would it be and why? If you don’t have a lot of knowledge of variety shows, talk about what kind of variety show they would go on.
She does not fare well in variety. Comments around their debut that said she spoke too much (when she hardly spoke at all) keep her quiet until directly addressed by the hosts. She’s gotten a little better at it and does want to go on more singing focused varieties (like King of Masked Singer) as well as go on SNL again, maybe by herself, but she still has a fear of making a mistake and harming her image and her group’s.
+ Day Eighteen: What entertainment agency is your muse a part of? What do they think of other groups and artists that are in the same agency as them? Which labelmates do they get along with the most, excluding group members?
BC Entertainment, which is known for their family like image. June loves the other girl groups and is usually a fan of the boy groups’ releases. She enjoys activities where she gets to be with labelmates, though not all of them are her closest friends. She’s close with Minhee and Namwoo, people she used to look up to quite a bit when she was a trainee, and she would like to be close to the other Lipstick and Bee members as well, but it’s difficult for her to express her admiration without coming off as a too much of a fan.
+ Day Nineteen: Is there anything besides idol activities that your muse would want to do? Would they want to take their hand at hosting a variety show or act in a television show or drama? Would they want to try out modeling or a musical? If they have done things such as these, talk about their thoughts toward these things.
June really wants to own her own brand one day. Or open a flower shop. She can’t decide between the two. She’d also like to act eventually, but she doesn’t think she’ll get the opportunity in Korea, given how rarely foreign idols are given the opportunity to. When BC lets her, she’d like to accept some of the roles she’s been sent from the Chinese tv industry.
+ Day Twenty: If your muse was able to be a part of a supergroup that comprised of current idols, who would they want to be in the same group and why? What kind of concept would this group have? How do you think the group would do in terms of popularity?
In her own head, she’s very much of the belief that Wish is already a super group, minus the concept. However, made up of idols not in her own group, she’d like to see Hyejung (though their relationship isn’t perfect, she respects her ability), Cherry, Minzy, Jeonghwa, and Alice, as they’d comprise of what would be a perfect combination of the newer generation. The concept would be similar to Lipstick’s All Night. If they didn’t have great promotions from their company, probably not that well with the amount of competition, but she thinks they would do respectably.
+ Day Twenty-One: How does your muse feel about their fans? How do they feel about sasaeng fans? How would they handle a situation in which they were faced with obsessive fans that followed them or invaded their privacy? If they’ve had problems with sasaeng fans before, how did they feel about it?
Her fans mean a lot to her, to the extent that she tries to remember their names as much as she’s able to (she remembers her first fansite vividly — she greets them happily whenever she sees them) when they’ve come to multiple events. Sasaeng fans are a little different for her, as she’s such a private person. She tries to understand, but she gets really nervous when she sees a fan she recognizes in public too often and usually will stick to her managers just in case. She hasn’t had any specific problems, but there are some fansites that have posted her looking upset because she knows they aren’t a real fan.
+ Day Twenty-Two: Talk about your muse’s goals that they have for their group or themselves if they are a solo artist. Where would they want to promote if given the chance? Do they want to do a solo album at one point? This can be any sort of professional goal.
She just wants to be remembered. Her group breaks enough records for it, but she still is concerned that her group won’t be considered one of the defining groups from this time period and she doesn’t want to be forgotten. She does want to do a solo album, once she’s written enough songs for it. But it’s difficult for her to express that to management.
+ Day Twenty-Three: What is your muse’s thoughts on being an idol and dating? Are they against dating? Have they ever been in a relationship after debuting? If so, talk about the challenges that have come along with dating. If they aren’t dating, would they want to date?
She was very against it at the time of her debut. June puts her success first and foremost and wouldn’t want to risk it and a scandal so soon after their debut. Though she has had many crushes, she didn’t date at all early in her career. As the years have gone on, she’s gotten more lonely and more open to the idea of dating, though crushes (and hookups) still appeal to her more than an actual relationship.
+ Day Twenty-Four: Who is your muse’s ideal type? Why is this person their ideal type?
June’s ideal type, publicly, is someone she’s never really talked with much. She named them on instinct when pressured on a radio show, believing their public image really represented what she wanted in a person. (ooc: this is an open plot so I’m not going into too much detail rip)
+ Day Twenty-Five: What does your muse want to be remembered for in the idol world? Do they want to be remembered for their vocal prowess? Their image? Their dancing skills? Their scandals?
Primarily, she wants to be known for her versatility, but more commonly, her voice. Because so many people say she doesn’t have actual ability, she really strives to showcase her vocals as much as she possibly can to prove them wrong. However, in the long run, she’d rather they remember her as someone who was good at everything.
+ Day Twenty-Six: Does your muse ever regret becoming an idol? Do they ever think about what they would be doing instead if they lived a normal life? If they could go back in time, would they do everything all over again? Or would they end up doing something else?
She does only really when she wonders what she could have done instead. While she wouldn’t change anything, the what ifs of not leaving home do keep her up at night sometimes, but she doesn’t think she would have the freedom she does now (even with idol life limitations) so she would do the same again.
+ Day Twenty-Seven: After working hard on promotions, your muse is given the chance to take a two week vacation anywhere in the world at any time they want, with nobody bothering them. Where would they go and when? Why would they want to take their vacation there? If they had the opportunity to bring three other people, who would they bring?
An island somewhere. Maybe the Caribbean, where it’s unlikely many people know her and she could just truly decompress. She’d honestly probably not bring anyone; maybe her brother, to try and patch things with him.
+ Day Twenty-Eight: Talk about your muse’s low point in life. Why was this a low point in their life? What kind of challenges did they face and how did they feel about this? Were they able to overcome it? If it is still ongoing, are they working on overcoming these challenges?
One of her lowest points was the first vacation she had after debut, visiting home. Her sister is ten years her senior and reinforced a lot of the doubts she herself has, that she was essentially talentless and the public only liked her for her body and the revealing outfits. It really sent her spiraling for a bit and spawned the only thing close to a scandal she’s been in, where she snapped at someone trying to film up her skirt during an event. It set her on edge, determined to be seen as more than just an object to be owned for once in her life.
+ Day Twenty-Nine: Talk about your muse’s most meaningful moment as an idol. This is what they feel so far is the highest point in their life and where they’ve never been happier. Recall the memory and describe it; what happened and how did they feel?
Wish’s first win as a group. She hadn’t expected their concept to be so well received and was worried because they were all well rounded, no one really stuck out as a powerful main anything, but BC chose a good song and they got a win. She cried on the show, unable to speak despite being handed a microphone by the MCs and having to pass it on to another member. Jun was so worried that they wouldn’t succeed, they were the first cute group of BC, and their first win really cemented that their hard work paid off.
+ Day Thirty: Think about your muse’s life down the road. Where would they be and what would they be doing? Would they still be in the entertainment industry? Would they settle down and have a family?
Jun wants to be a celebrity, but not necessarily an idol. She’s fine with becoming obsolete in the Korean industry, so long as she can establish a career in China first, as an actress or even a soloist. She does want a family, but she doesn’t think she’d be good at being someone’s family because of her own being pretty screwed up, so she doesn’t really see it in her future.

LOADING INFORMATION ON JAWBREAKER’S LEAD VOCAL, LEAD DANCE HAN MINJU...
IDOL DETAILS
STAGENAME: Siena CURRENT AGE: 22 DEBUT AGE: 17 TRAINEE SINCE AGE: 13 COMPANY: KJH SECONDARY SKILL: Acting
IDOL PROFILE
NICKNAME(S): Sina, given by her fans as a simple shortening of her stage name; Baby Giraffe, given by her family and soon spread among her members and fans, one would think it’s because she supposedly has a long neck but Minju was very tall when she was still a kid and her legs stood out, plus she was very clumsy and got hurt easily; Crying Baby, she cries easily and that’s known to the fans since the day they had their first win with La Ta Ta. INSPIRATION: As for people that she looks up to and aspires to become like them, Minju has in mind a couple of female soloists and groups, like Boa, Lee Hyori and Nixie. They were overall important figures that she had in mind before starting her training and even after when she became a trainee. SPECIAL TALENTS:
Sports: surprisingly, despite her usual clumsy behavior, Minju is very good at sports and events such as ISAC are meant to show that off. She can do archery decently and she has strong legs proper for running fast.
Ice skating: did for a very short while when she was a kid and wanted to become a figure skater. It has been years since she properly practiced but she can still pull a few decent movements.
Tongue twisters: while rapping is not her specialty (not even by far), during her training period Minju was told to practice tongue twisters to be able to improve her pronunciation and her breathing. After debuting, it became something she’d use on variety and radio shows.
NOTABLE FACTS:
Was a student at Hanlim Multi Art School from 2011 to 2014.
Has an older sister who also auditioned to Midas, but differently from Minju, her sister had success in her audition.
Started acting in the webdrama ‘Twenty Years Old’.
Despite all the lack of promotion for HER.oine, Singularity still tried to put Minju in a couple of dramas and fans complained saying she was being selfish for thinking about her career only.
IDOL GOALS
SHORT-TERM GOALS:
After almost losing this, Minju came to the realization that perhaps she’d miss this career more than she originally anticipated so, as cheesy as it may sound, she wants to make better use of the time she has in her group. Since she was highly criticized for her lack of enthusiasm in the ending years of HER.oine, she wants to prove those comments wrong by showing how invested she is in this, mainly by working in group related schedules and perfecting her performances and stage presence.
LONG-TERM GOALS:
Minju is, in some ways, pretty involved with acting and despite her bad start with it, she truly enjoys that aspect of her career and wishes to move into acting as something serious in the future if given the opportunity by KJH. But acting is not the only way she wants to use to keep herself in the industry and if she’s being true to herself, some wishful thoughts towards a solo career in music also popped up during some occasions.
IDOL IMAGE
She’s seventeen when she debuts, and she’s trilled and nervous and she feels like she’ll throw up as soon as she steps on the stage for their first performance as HER.oine.
She doesn’t and things end perfectly from her part. She’s rushing with adrenaline and pure joy and tears. She finally made it to debut despite of everything. After their debut stage, Minju became addicted to the feeling, of being up there in the spotlights with people cheering and screaming and showing their smiles and singing with them. She’d deal with everything that came with the job if that meant she’d be able to stand on the stage again.
In the beginning, the image they started selling was of a big-eyed, soft featured little sister. She’s young and innocent and that kind of image works well in contrast with her charismatic persona on stage. Singularity may not have done a good job in many things during the time Jawbreaker was still HER.oine but marketing Siena as their little girl with enchanting presence worked well during the four comebacks they had under that name.
Siena is not sweet nor has a stunningly beautiful image, she doesn’t look like a princess who came out from a fairytale and doesn’t speak sweetly or stumble over her words. She’s charming and smiles easily, she also has a funny laugh that is simply contagious. She’s not blunt. She knows her place, knows she must be perfect if she wants people to like her, but the younger child syndrome hits her from time to time and it works because people think it’s adorable. They buy this persona, the easy-going girl who looks wild when she’s performing but when she’s out of it, shes just a regular-pretty-girl-who-smiles-at-everyone.
She has been acting for a while, but no one really notices. She acts when she’s having a bad day but must keep up with schedules and practice. She acts when she spends the day dieting and she’s starving, but she still says she’s fine. So, when she starts acting professionally, she tries to be extra careful. Siena must fit in the molds, she can’t rush herself, she must be composed and be elegant. She’s not chic, she doesn’t know how to act like that, and a silly smile will often popup in her face because being idol-Siena is much easier than being actress-Siena. That Siena is closer to whom Minju really is even though the real her lives under layers and layers of makeup and fancy-looking clothes. Her fans are happy to see her engage in new projects even if they aren’t necessarily good, some netizens just don’t buy it and say she wants to divert from her original path. The negativity didn’t stop Singularity from trying and suddenly, there she was again.
In KJH nothing much changes. She works with the carefree type of personality. Her fans like it and as far as she knows, what makes them happy, makes the company happy. Things are slightly different about her concept though, she’s nearing her 24ndbirthday in Korea and she wants to show that despite starting very young, she’s now a grown woman, and KJH seems okay to accept that because it will also help to establish a more solid image for their group. They are all grown women now and Siena wants to show them for what they are here for.
IDOL HISTORY
There is not one extraordinary plan. Minju worked with bigger events, big expectations and want to be too many things all at once. From teacher to veterinarian, a professional ice skater or even an artistic gymnast, she thought about following her mother’s career as a radio producer or become a lawyer like her father. Every other week she’d have things figured out and solved in her head, problems that would never happen under her watchful eyes, every other week she’d be something different. At the little age of thirteen she decided she wanted to be a singer and the difference that time was that the idea stuck with her for a long time.
The story of how her parents met remained a mystery in parts because it would slightly change every time any of the kids asked them how it happened. Her mother’s passion for music was evident and her father always looked at her in awe whenever she played some instrument or sang the chorus of a song she dearly appreciated. The three siblings would plan pranks and play for the whole day and in the end, the one thing that worked to sooth them to sleep were the couple of minutes of lullabies or stories told by the grownups.
She didn’t think of her life as boring but perhaps it could look like it for some people.
They grew up listening to music, given their mother’s background with the whole thing. Minju remembered how they tried to teach her music theory when she was younger and how excited she became when she got into class and realized she already knew some of that stuff. Her mother was the one teaching her guitar and sometimes, when she could, she’d sneak Minju into the studio where she worked after weeks of insistence from Minju’s side.
She honestly loved it. She loved music and loved singing and dancing with her father and despite already having a foot in the industry due to her mother’s connections, she didn’t think much about it until her sister mentioned she’d be trying to audition for Midas later that year. In the meantime, she weighted her thoughts. Be an idol was such an appealing idea, but she heard the discussions between her sister and their parents, and her mother specially, didn’t sound very pleased with the idea. Was only when she watched Boa performing on television that she made up her mind and perhaps it could be the aftereffects of the explosions and choreography, but she decided then that she’d be just like her role model. Her mother’s worries could only be normal, after all, she was their mother, so Minju decided to not worry with her worries.
She wasn’t as well prepared as her sister, obviously. Her sister was preparing for this fated day for months while Minju made her mind about it just a couple of weeks prior to the audition. In the end her sister was more successful than her in the attempt to be scouted and Minju felt the mix of happiness but also bitterness swirling inside of her. She remined herself that she couldn’t live out of raw expectations of good and great when she did nothing to deserve it, it didn’t mean the sour feeling simply faded away.
A couple of weeks later when the auditions for Singularity opened, Minju was once again on the game, this time by herself, relatively less confident of a positive response but more well prepared for what was about to come. It happened that since she had low expectations, all the results seem to be better than the expected and when they released the results and she saw she made it in, she was so happy she cried on the spot.
For months she lived just on the adrenaline of being accepted into a company. She trained hard and did all that was asked to her. She tried her best and gave her all, then things started getting lonely and being pushed for longer hours and eating less demanded so much more effort from her, but she refused to give up even though the thought did go through her head more than once after eight months of training.
Singularity wasn’t a company that she necessarily saw herself connect with. She didn’t feel like she had freedom to work herself in the best way, but when they started wanting to push her into acting training all together with the remaining classes she had to take, she started thinking that perhaps they had great plans for her.
When she was about to complete four years in the company, the news of a new girl group under their label were released and she was so excitedly tired when she told her parents that she was one of the trainees chosen to be part of the group.
HER.oine debuted and once again Minju started living under the adrenaline of the following months. And then they went on a hiatus and she became demotivated. The following comebacks were made based in the same formula. A preparation for the next comeback and then she’d be in high spirits while they were able to perform and then she’d be back to an unmotivated state because Singularity was uncapable of promoting them right.
She loved performing and loved being on the stage and that’s probably the main reason why she kept going and endured the entire situation. Because she wanted to give her best while singing to their two songs. She expected more and better of their debut and when she thought things couldn’t turn out sourer, Singularity decided to push her into webdramas that only created conflict among HER.oine’s fans and gave Minju a spot as selfish and greedy for neglecting the girls and having a very premature debut as an actress.
She almost didn’t sign up with KJH when they came from the skies and saved HER.oine from imminent disbandment after the fall of Singularity. Her members were the ones influencing in her decision and in the end, she was won by the pure pressure and insistence of her band mates to sign with them. She almost gave up not because she didn’t like doing it even though idol life was never easy to begin with, but she was so addicted to the feeling of being able to perform and receive the love from the fans that she didn’t mind that the system was a mess and sickening.
She doesn’t mind that they are in the bottom because she never truly felt like they were that high anyways. They have people expecting things from them. KJH wanting to know if they were a good investment, their fans who are probably looking for better management, the members wanting to know if this will work because that’s what she asks herself every day. There are a couple of life trials that she doesn’t know how to deal with, but she tries. Sometimes she gets tired of trying but she keeps going because, in her head, at some point, this will reveal to be worthy of the struggle.

Caught In A Lie (prologue)
Tumblr media
Summary:: In order to succeed in the entertainment business in this world one most eventually ‘make a deal with the devil’ or ‘sell their soul’ to the mafia and become a modern day slave to the family. Jimin is a struggling dance student with high morals and a determination to make it on his own. His best friend is a hired body guard in the notorious Bangtan faction and is constantly trying to persuade Jimin in coming to work for the family in order to make his life easier. Yet Jimin keeps refusing. When things start to go bad he finds himself wondering if making a deal with the devil would be his best option. He soon finds himself deep in a lie and caught in the claws of a beautiful but deadly woman who is one half the leader of Bangtan.
Paring: JiminxReader
Warnings: Graphic violence, cursing, deception, eventual sexual content.
A/N: This is purely a fake world in which I’ve thrown real people into. Think of it as a movie staring your favorite people. This is in no way related to them other than I used their names. All fiction and it should stay that way. I mainly wrote this because I’d personally love to see BTS star in a mobster film. I believe they have the talent and look for it. This is purely a gift to ARMY who wanted a badass girl fiction. LOL Please review it or comment. It makes my day to see nice words. Also if there are typos I’m sorry. It was 2AM when I wrote this.
"So how's the dancing coming along? My parents said you applied at the school of fine arts over the summer."
Jimin glanced up from his soda where he had been watching the large ice cubes float around in the bubbling cola. Ever so often Jimin would occasionally stir his drink with the black straw, watching as more bubbles floated to the surface of his drink then popped, making a low fizzing noise.
His eyes met the dark yet curious ones of his old school mate, Jungkook. Jimin and Jungkook had both attended the same school and even though Jimin was two years older than the other male, the two formed a tight knit friendship that had lasted through high school and college. Jungkook was the sports guy, always making the top teams and gained many scholarships to play at different schools around the world, while Jimin was the dance kid.
Jimin did play a few sports growing up but dancing had always been his passion aside from music. To him the two went hand in hand. Can't really dance without music.
Jimin had met Jungkook while both of them auditioned for a school play when they were preteens. No one ever pictured Jungkook for a singer but once he opened his mouth everyone, Jimin included, were blown away by his voice. Jimin knew his voice was top notch as well but he preferred dancing and letting Jungkook have the lead singing bits in their play. The two of them built a name for each other and were tied in the school's student body voted for "most likely to succeed".
However, succeeding in Busan was easier said than done. The entertainment industries in the country were mostly owned by the rich and powerful, by rich and powerful, that meant mafia. Each idol that came along either bought their way into the industry with their parents money, were born into it or they were working for the Mafia. There were several different mafia factions, the most known were the factions of Red Velvet. A faction of women who were as deadly as they were beautiful. They helped many well known actresses push their way to the top by any means necessary.
There was the EXO faction. A large group of guys who mostly held a tight grip on the television and broadcasting areas. The BigBang faction were their don who was called G-Dragon held most of the crime and drugs that filtered out into the streets, Stay Kids faction, Seventeen faction....all of these families were ones you never wanted to cross on a bad day.
However there was one that held each family and faction in a tight grip. The Bangtan faction. They were formally known as BigHit but once the don of their faction stepped down it was handed off to two young members who had been with the faction from the start, the name changed to Bangtan. Kim Namjoon, aka Monster, who lived up to his name with his ruthless sense of business and knowhow. And BigHit's adopted daughter Y/N, aka Swan. Many factions protested BigHit's don handing the family over to a foreigner who had no blood ties to Korea but she quickly earned her place and respect with her knowledge and take no shit attitude. The rumors spread like wild fire about her ruthless nature but sensible attitude towards solving issues quickly and almost effortlessly. Swan quickly earned her name and place in the country. For a long time she was known as the White Swan due to her light colored skin and easy to spot features, however as she made a name for Bangtan she became the Dark Swan. Everyone said the White Swan was her when she did her charitable work for the country by helping lost kids find their way and bringing more money into the country with her over seas ventures and projects, and the Dark Swan was a side of Y/N no one dared mess with. She'd not hesitate to get her hands dirty and eliminate the problem when necessary as well as the one causing the issues. She also held the police tightly in her hands. Most say it was because of her beauty that had the men and women falling at her feet but truthfully it was because they knew what would happen if they crossed her's or Namjoon's path. Together they were unstoppable and pretty much ran the whole country. They were as close as brother and sister and when working together they were called the Twins.
Succeeding in Korea now meant working for one of the families. Make an enemy of one and soon everyone had you on their list. Jimin had been working on his own, refusing to 'sell his soul' for the promise of fame and riches. Jungkook, he joined swore service to Bangtan right out if college. Jimin was unsure of his position but knew Jungkook was very close to Namjoon and Swan. There were many pictures of Jungkook sticking very close to Swan's side while out at public functions.
Of course Jungkook wasn't stupid, he knew damn well that dating a mobboss' daughter, adopted or not, was like signing your death warrant these days. Times were tough but Jimin knew Jungkook's heart was always in the right place so he never judged his friend for running off and joining the mafia.
Jimin's pride, however, kept him striving to achieve his dream on his own. He was struggling and knew the odds were not in his favor for getting accepted into top league dance academy when he didn't have the money to buy his way in, but still he held on to his hope and determination.
"Hello! Jimin!" Jungkook snapped his fingers in front of Jimin's face twice, knocking the older one out of his trance. "You still with me?
"Yeah, sorry." Jimin laughed, his cheeks flushing slightly having been caught drifting off. "Yeah I applied but I haven't got a call back for an audition yet." Jimin let his shoulders skin a bit in sadness. He had worked himself close to death to get this far, only to not get a call yet.
"You'll get a call. You're the best dancer in the country." Jungkook gave a comforting smile to his friend before leaning back in his seat. "You know how to get a call--"
Jimin was quick to cut the younger man off, "No." He stated firmly with a clenched jaw and hardened eyes.
Jungkook sighed and cocked his head slightly to the left, his dark eyes staying fixed on Jimin. "Why not? You've worked so hard, you deserve to get a little help. Namjoon and Sawn could help if you just ask."
"For what price, Kook? My pride?" Jimin sighed, his hands going up to rub his face harshly. Of course the offer was beyond tempting but Jimin wasn't going to sell out that fast!
"Pride? You think I sold my pride when I took the job with Bangtan?" Jungkook began to get a bit defensive. Bangtan was his family and he was overly protective of his new family.
Shaking his head, Jimin gave the man an apologetic smile. "You know that's not what I meant, Kook. I just...I want do this on my own and not owe anyone anything."
"You don't have to do this alone. You think I wasn't afraid of losing myself when I joined? I was. Fuck it was the scariest thing I've ever agreed to, but my dream was more important to me. Now I'm working on my own album with one of the best producers in the world. It's all worth it if you can do what you love, even if you have to get your hands dirty time to time." Jungkook began preaching to his friend, hoping he'd come around. Jungkook hating to see Jimin struggling this way. "Remember Hoseok? The guy who graduated from college a few years a head of us?"
"Yeah, the lead dancer for the drama team?" Jimin nodded, his brow arching slightly.
"Well he started out street dancing when Namjoon found him, he works for Bangtan and now he's the top choreographer in the world. Hell, you can't turn on the TV without seeing someone using his dance moves. Same with Kim Seokjin the famous chief. This restaurant is his. He owns a chain of them and recently opened one in Tokyo. I work with him and Swan everyday. He's a great guy." Jungkook glanced around the highly packed restaurant and smiled. Yeah every member of Bangtan worked hard and had to pay their dues but the pay off made it all worth it. "It's okay to ask for help. Everyone needs help."
Jimin sighed knowing that Jungkook was making very valid and tempting points he just didn't know or believe he was cut out for the mob life. Hell, he hated hurting bugs when he stepped on them while on the streets but the things Bangtan could and would do to people who displeased them, it terrified him. Even more so to think of quiet, shy little Jungkook who had had known for years having to hurt a living soul. "I just want to get by on my own. To have something that's mine, ya know?"
Sighing, Jungkook nodded, Jimin was still as stubborn as ever but he hoped one day he'd come around and accept help and no be so hard on himself. "Yeah, I get that." Dammit, he just didn't want to see life drag Jimin down and snuff the fire that fueled Jimin's dreams. "If you ever change your mind just give me a call."
"I will, Kook. I swear." Jimin chuckled once more, giving Jungkook the smile that at times he didn't have the energy for.
Jungkook returned the smile before he noticed outside the entrance that a large black SUV had pulled right up to the door. Jungkook knew that car and a small smirk tugged the corners of his lips. "I'll be damned. Talk about timing." He said with a breathy laugh. "Speak of the devil and she shall appear. Isn't that how the saying goes?"
Jimin turned his attention out towards the SUV and watched with curious eyes as a man dressed in an expensive black dress suit, white shirt and black tie stepped out from the drivers side and made his way towards the backseat passengers side. Jimin recognized the man to be Kim Seokjin, owner of this restaurant as Jungkook earlier pointed out.
He didn't blink as he watched Seokjin glance around cautiously before opening the door and helped someone step out from the backseat. It was a woman with long dark hair that hung loosely in curls that fell down her back in soft waves, she was dressed in a form fitting black dress which made her skin look a beautiful pale color. Her lips were painted red as blood and the coat that hung snugly to her body was a bright shade of red that matched the lipstick. It was Swan! He knew her from the photos. He watched as Seokjin stood close to her side and another man slid out of the backseat as well.
The man had a very intimidating look about him that only worsened the feeling by his dyed silver hair. He too was dressed in all black, unlike Seokjin, this man was dressed in solid black and no tie. To Jimin it looked like something right out of a movie.
Jimin half wanted to ask Jungkook if her ears were burning and that's why she showed up here of all days, but he thought it better to keep his sarcastic comments to himself, at least for now. He just watched in silence as the silver haired man opened the door for Swan and the three made their way inside gaining many whispers and glances. Everyone clearly knew who just walked in and Jimin couldn't believe people were openly whispering about the trio right in ear range.
Jungkook stiffened his posture to look more professional as Swan glanced around the crowded restaurant. Eventually her eyes landed in Jungkook and a soft smile spread across her red tinted lips. Okay, yeah. He could see what people meant by her beauty. She was even more breathtaking in person.
Jimin's heart fluttered and his hands began to sweat as the three swiftly made their way over to their table. "Kookie, I didn't expect to see you here on your day off." Sawn spoke, her voice was gentle and her Korean was flawless. Hearing her speak no one could say she wasn't raised in Korea.
"My friend Jimin, here has never eaten here so I thought I'd treat him today." Jungkook spoke with a soft laugh before nodding his head towards Jimin who wanted to desperately crawl under the table out of sight but it was too late, Sawn's gaze fell immediately on him. "Swan, this is my good friend from Busan, the one I told you about."
Jimin quickly straightened up and forced a nervous smile. "I'm Park Jimin." He bowed his head in respect.
"Oh this is the dancer I've heard so much about." Swan grinned brightly before extending her hand. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Park Jimin. I'm Y/N, but you can call me Swan."
Jimin discreetly wiped his hand on his jeans before taking hers in a gentle grasp. He made a mental note to curse Jungkook later for talking about him to Swan. "Nice to meet you too, Y--Swan." He managed to catch himself before he called out her real name.
"I hope you've enjoyed the food here." Seokjin spoke up as Jimin quickly released Sawn's hand as if he had been burned by her gentle soft touch.
"I have, thank you." Jimin smiled nervously before bowing his head once again to the older man.
"Jin-hyung, since it's his first time, you should comp our meals." Jungkook smirked and wiggled his brows.
Seokjin visbilly bristled at the younger man and narrowed his eyes. "I'll comp his mean, you know how much money I spend on you with food alone? I even had to add Sushi to the menu for you."
Jungkook held an amused look as he began to argue with Seokjin with a playful tone. "You're getting testy in your old age Jin-hyung." Jungkook mocked.
"Old? I'm not old. Twenty-six is not old!" Seokjin's voice rose a whole octave as he chided the younger man. "You won't think that when you're my age."
"You'll still be older than me and just as tight with money." Jungkook mocked Seokjin's tone which caused the silver haired man to chuckle under his breath.
Swan rolled her eyes and placed a hand to Seokjin's shoulder. "Just this once, let's comp his meal. Kookie will make up for it later in Suga's studio. Isn't that right, Suga?"
At this, the silver haired man smirked and gave a sharp nod. "Oh of course."
Jimin's eyes widened slightly, Suga? He knew that name. Min Suga, or Yoongi was a world known and respected music producer and rapper! Jimin had done many of his routines to Suga's songs. Jimin had no idea that Suga was a part of Bangtan.
"What are y'all doing here today?" Jungkook asked suddenly which caused all the smiles to fade.
Swan glanced at Jimin, silently wondering if she should talk with a stranger here within ear shot. However she still spoke after fixing her gaze on Jungkook. "We have a..." she paused wondering how she should word this. "A meeting with that smuggler who has been dealing BigBang fits for the past few months."
Jimin noticed Jungkook's playful demeanor disappear into something he had never seen before. Jungkook became serious and tense. "Do you need me?" Need him? What did that mean? What was going on?
Swan shook her head and gave a wave of her hand. "It's nothing Yoongi, Jin and I can't handle." She glanced to her left to Suga who just gave a cold smirk and folded his arms across his chest lazily.
Jimin held back the urge to gulp, whatever this meeting was but he knew by Suga’s look that it wasn’t going to end in the smugglers favor. Suga had a dangerous vibe oozing from him as he stood silently.
“You enjoy your day off, but I’m glad I saw you. I know I promised you tomorrow off as well but I will need you. I have to go to Japan to oversee the construction for the new hotel Joon and I are opening.” Sawn continued, her voice holding a serious tone.
Jungkook nodded instantly. “I’ll be there.”
“We’re going to leave early so just plan on staying at the penthouse. We’ll take the jet and come back in three days.” Swan smiled softly.
“Just the two of us?” Jungkook asked feeling the urge to get all the details now rather than later so he’d know how prepared to be. It was always dangerous to travel out of the country in their line of work. Namjoon and Sawn were never allowed to both be out of the country’s the same time. It left Bangtan exposed to people who would dare try a take over.
Swan shook her head as Suga glanced down at the Rolex on his wrist before plascing a hand on the small of Swan’s back to signal it was time for them to go. “No, V will be coming with us since he’s over the design.”
Swan gave Jungkook a sharp nod, as if telling him they’d sort out the details later before turning her eyes to Jimin, the soft expression returning to her face.
Jimin felt himself heat up under her gaze. He then realized he had been staring the whole time with a slightly slacked jaw. “Jimin, it was nice to meet you officially. Jungkook talks about you all the time. I hope one day to see you dance. If you ever need anything don’t hesitate to ask. Any friend of Jungkook is a friend of mine.” With that she gave a small nod before turning on her heel to leave the two alone. Followed closely by Seokjin and Suga.
Jimin felt his cheeks turn about fifty shades of red as she walked away. He watched the elegant sway of her hips as she headed towards the stairs that lead them up to VIP booths. He glanced over at Jungkook who was simply smirking at his friend. “She’s amazing right?” He asked as Jimin simply nodded.
“Amazing.” Jimin nodded.
**–**
As Sawn walked towards the VIP section she smiled to herself stopping herself from glancing back over her shoulder at the young friend of Jungkook. The deer in headlights look he gave her the whole time made her giggle softly to herself. Innocence in today’s world was a very odd thing to find.
“What are you giggling about?” Yoongi asked nudging her with his elbow as they neared the “meeting room”. A room no one should ever want to find themselves in unless you’re on the Bangtan side.
“That Jimin. He’s a cutie isn’t he?” She laughed softly while Jin smirked at his boss.
“You always liked them young, boss.” Jin wiggled his brows in a suggestive manner gaining a gentle shove from Swan as she pushed open the door to reveal a bruised up man gagged and bound to chair in the middle of the room. The smuggler. Hoseok was standing behind him with a large grin that stretched from ear to ear when he saw Swan and his fellow members enter.
“Hobi darling, did you bring me a present?” She asked with a grin as the trio stepped into the room. Her smile was a cherry one but her tone was cold as ice. “You’re so good to me, sweetie.”
Suga followed Swan into the room and Jin gave a swift glance down the halls to make sure no one who wasn’t granted Bangtan access happened to be lurking around the VIP section. After making sure the coast was clear he stepped inside and closed the door, making sure to lock it after it was shut.

@cha-eunwoow and @sanhatation hit me with that x2 tag combo (💖💕💞) I was gonna put them both in this post but it.... got very long... so I will split them up after all 😅
First up is a Kpop one from lovely Liv (hey girl I hope things are going better for you!!)
To anyone who genuinely reads through all of this bless your heart and ily
1) 5 favorite groups?
f(x), ASTRO, SHINee, Day6, Dreamcatcher
2) Top 5 on your bias list? (no particular order)
Lol I just did this, so: Amber, Jinjin, Onew, S.coups, Wonpil (though if we can double from groups my girl Luna would 100% be here)
3) Ult Bias group and why you love them?
f(x) - they were my first group and will forever be my ults. I just love how unique they are both as a group and each member individually! Every member shines so much in their own way and can absolutely stand as artists in their own right (and have been proving so with their solo projects the past 2+ years), and when they come together they create things that are so cool and beautiful and unique 💜 Honest to god after I sat down and listened to their whole discography on Spotify for the first time, I listened to nothing but them 8+ hrs a day, 7 days a week for almost a month I was so in love (i'm not exaggerating you can ask my roommate aldbaj) (SM please let us have f(4) again I would literally cry). That being said I also consider ASTRO and SHINee to be ults, and could write whole paragraphs for them as well 💕
(but y’all please support my girls, Victoria put out a Chinese single and should be following with an album, Amber’s halfway through releasing videos for her mixtape & Luna is releasing 2 digital singles this coming week! Krystal has no musical projects atm but you can check out her dramas and modeling~)
4) Ult Bias and why you love them?
My kpop origin story revolves around me coming across the Electric Shock mv in 2013 and being both in love with and absolutely floored by Amber. A girl? In a girl idol group? With short hair?? Who presents in a masculine way?? I couldn’t believe it was something the companies would let happen and it was so. I don't even know. But I knew it was really meaningful and important to me. 3 years later I actually fully listen to the group (honestly thank got I needed new music to listen to at work) and I finally learned her name - Amber Liu. I'm someone who id's as nonbinary, and I've really struggled with my perceived femininity my whole life - its something I'm still working through. When I saw Amber, a person working in a very gender stereotype-heavy industry and culture, being able to present in the way she's comfortable and standing up for the rights of others to do the same, it just really touched me on a deep personal level. Even though I know she id's as cishet she still has done a lot for those of us that don't, and I'm sooo insanely proud of her for sticking to her guns and choosing to live her truth through all of the hell people have given and continue to give her for it. Not only has she stuck it to the haters by prospering, but she's taken her experiences and her talents and made them into absolutely beautiful works of art.
She uses her music to express her feelings and talk about her struggles, and the fact that her work is so personal and has so much of her in it also means a lot to me (please listen to Borders, Need to Feel Needed, Beautiful, Heights, and this cover of One More Light NOTE: if self harm is a bad topic for you, maybe skip One More Light and the Borders mv (the song is fine and ultimately uplifting, and the mv does end happily). She has worked so. damn. hard. to pursue her dreams and passions, often having to rely on just herself and her friends to work when SM just straight up refuses to do their JOB as her MANAGEMENT COMPANY, and somehow she keeps doing it with that beautiful smile.
Aside from all the gooshy stuff, she’s just really goofy and fun (and attractive >>) AND she was born just 2 months before me so I feel there’s a connection (also my parents considered naming me Amber and she considered my name as a stage name??? #starcrossedlovers). Finally she has literally the cutest dog in the world please look at this picture and cry with me
5) Favorite Kpop Meme
lmaooo now that I’ve poured my heart out over Amber, lets look at the human meme that is Lee Taemin (i just picked one but my favorite meme is just. him.)
Tumblr media
And a special shoutout to all of the rest of the SHINee memes, like I thought about linking just one but there are so many legendary classics how do you choose (I got to experience the burnt Gucci story in person though so a super special shoutout to that one)
6) Favorite pic of your ult? (I dare you to only pick one)
I’ll do both my ults since this is my Astro blog but I’ve only talked about f(x) so far ;;;;;
For Amber, this picture has been my phone background for well over a year now so I guess this one?? It’s from the song festival when she and Ksuke debuted Breathe Again (many months before it’s official release) and she was just feeling herself so much during the performance (credit for the pic most likely goes to her fansite Ambossing)
Tumblr media
As for Jinwoo adljasdfs I only have like 100 pics of him just on my phone this is fine I’m gonna pick this one, bc when he posted it I loved it so much I came very close to literally printing it out and framing it...... he just looks so happy!! And he’s being his most natural self, no hair/makeup, out with his family, doing something he loves. It just Warms My Heart
Tumblr media
7)  Favorite Kpop MVs
Ok this is a whole can of worms, so I’ll try to limit it to just 10 I quite like?? (in no specific order)
1) Astro - Baby 2) VIXX - Error 3) Seventeen - Lilili Yabbay 4) SHINee - Boys Meet U 5) EXID - DDD 6) KNK - Rain (performance ver) 7) Oh My Girl - Closer  8) f(x) - Electric Shock 9) Crayon Pop - FM 10) Taemin - Saynoara Hitori (I know it was a Japanese release but ssssh I’m counting it WAIT HECK i just realized Boys Meet U was a Japanese release too asdlfjasf welp)
Also shoutout to this cover Dreamcatcher did of Maroon 5′s Lucky Strike
9) Favorite Kpop crack video?
I don’t have a single specific one, there are so many quality compilations (I have watched a surprising number of Seventeen as Vines videos though lmao)
10) Favorite content creator(s) within the fandom?
All Aroha are super talented ok, If I listed everyone that came to mind we’d be here for longer than anyone needs to be....
11) What fandoms would you say you’re an active member of?
the only fandom I’m fully in that’s  been active in Korea the past year is Astro :’) But that’s well enough, I really do love this community!
12) Take your top 3 biases- fmk
omg no why
F-Jinjin asldfjasdf
M-Amber
K- Onew..... no this is wrong :< I’m changing the k from kill to kiss ok? ok.
13) If you could be best friends with any idol, who would you choose?
Honestly probably Luna - she is one of the single most uplifting people in the world and she’s always ready for a good time! Queen of self love!
14) If you could date any idol, who?
I would never want to date an idol unless they were no longer/never an idol - trying to date around the antis and media would just be way too stressful on its own, plus the idol would be so busy all the time you’d barely get to see each other anyway
15) What’s one Kpop album you think everyone should have listened to?
SHINee - Married to the Music
16) Are you a soft or a hard stan?
yes (depends on the idol)
17) An idol that makes you go into soft mode?
Yoon Sanha, my soft noodle, my potato son
18) An idol that makes you want to smash the empire state building with one single punch?
@ Park Jaehyung meet me behind the Taco Bell at midnight
19) Favorite vocalist?
MJ/Luna/Onew
20) Favorite Rapper?
I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately and I’m honestly not sure??? Some contenders are Rocky and LE though
21) Favorite dancer?
sdflajsfadsf why must you hurt me in this way I’ll say Taemin because he really puts a lot of thought and self into his dance, and he’s actively trying to create change in the way the industry thinks about gender and dance
22) Things you have in common with your ult?
I think I pretty much touched on all that with Amber, so for Jinjin we both love dogs and like the drums, we can be quick to smile, we try to lead in an understanding/accommodating way rather than a total authoritarian way, we do That Face™ when someone is pushing our buttons lol
23) The most beautiful trait any idol can have?
Kindness and an open mind
24) Songs that will always make you jam along?
how....long do you want to be here adsflj I will say the song that gets me jamming the MOST at work is N.Flying - Hot Potato
25) Your worst wrecker?
I’m here today to talk to you about a dangerously beautiful man named Kim Myungjun
26) Any kpop concerts you’ve been to?
I saw SHINee in Dallas with my bff in 2017, then I went to Astro in DC all by my lonesome this past February! (so I just need to see f(x) and I’ll have gone to all 3 ult groups) Also fun fact my good friend @jinjins-freckles was also at those two concerts, but we didn’t know each other yet for the SHINee one - funny how things work out~
27) Favorite choreo?
THIS. THIS IS THE HARDEST QUESTION. I CAN’T. IMPOSSIBLE. I’m not even gonna try and list some.... theres.... too many;;;;
28) Favorite live performance?
ok look first of all, you come into MY house, and ask me to pick ONE performance adslfj I’ll say SHINee’s Woof Woof bc I was absolutely obsessed with it after I discovered it, its just so fun and goofy but also bops hard as heck??? Legends Only
29) Favorite debut mv?
Hide & Seek cleared my skin watered my crops and gave me a lil smooch on the forehead
30) Recommend a rookie group
Dreamcatcher!!! They’re having a comeback in May please support our goth goddesses
31.) A kpop song you could listen to every day for the rest of your life?
Astro - Puss n Boots
32) Tag some cute mutuals you’d like to get to know better (and to do this challenge)!
Since she’s tagged me a few times lately I’ll tag @myunghjun (and that’s it asdlj if you read all the way to the end consider yourself tagged too ok ily)

biography: jeon aera
Ok, ok, ok, so here’s the deal with Jeon Aera:
She’s, like, a mess.
As in, A MESS a mess. As in, the “Let’s try snagging some tickets to Aera jangling her wrist to make sure her keychain’s on it but it’s actually a bunch of bracelets” kind of mess.
That being said, she’s a hot one.
This hot mess was born in beautiful Busan (Aera thinks everything’s beautiful, but whatever) in March 1999 and was wailing like nobody’s business because, hey, she’s gotta be the center of attention always! Never mind that the human equivalent of finally-finding-an-earring-you-thought-you-lost, Jeon Areum, was born seven whole minutes later. Probably came out of the womb very polite or something. If Aera was born screaming like she was witnessing someone try to wear a traffic cone as a stylish hat, Areum was probably the well-mannered young lady like, “Well, I think that the cone is a very flattering style on you! Here, have a cookie,” or some nonsense equivalent.
That is to say, the Jeon twins are night and day.
Regardless, Areum is the absolute light of Aera’s life and there’s nothing that can ever change that, but man, by the time they’re six it’s glaringly obvious the girls are on two different paths. Aera, specifically, has this weird obsession with her own damn face. Her smile is tongue-in-teeth and eyes permanently alight with kittenish mischief, and she’s mastered the flip-hair-and-wink trick. Not that it’s totally a bad thing; that kind of mindset makes it pretty easy to foster confidence and happiness in a sweet little girl, but also maybe a bit dangerous, and probably pretty bad parenting that her mom and dad encouraged vanity more than confidence. “Our little starlet,” they always said, ‘cause it was obvious that, as Aera got poutier and leggier, she was gonna end up somewhere Fabulous. With the capital “F” and all.
And that was exactly why they slapped Aera in a ballet studio and said the equivalent of “Go nuts!” before pretty much deciding that it’d all work out.
What they didn’t expect was Hamin to take on the mantle of family fame.
Hoooo, Hamin. If there’s One (1) person in her life she looks up to, it’s her older brother. Jeon Hamin, golden child, soccer king, oppa extraordinaire! He’s pretty much everything that a girl needs in a brother, and Aera snaps her teeth at mostly any girl who’s not good enough for him. Which is, like, everyone. So imagine her surprise when they move to Seoul for Hamin to debut in Hero, and suddenly everyone’s in love with him or whatever.
Um, how is Aera supposed to fight every girl in Korea? Who even has time for that? She has dance lessons at six, school at eight, tutoring at three, dance lessons again at five, and then beauty sleep at eight. And now she’s supposed to clear her schedule to get in a fistfight with any creepy weirdo who looks at her brother? For, like, a month after, she walks around looking like the “:/” emoji because that’s just too high of expectations from her.
You know what, though? It’s a learning experience.
‘Cause if there’s one thing she’s learned? It’s that people always look at her with a sense of awe when they realize that THE Jeon Hamin is her actual brother. Not that stupid “oppaaa~! uwu” but rather “Oppa, I will absolutely deck you if you don’t convince mom and dad to make hot and sour soup for dinner tonight.”
Also, she’s not above admitting how smug she gets when people say she’s pretty enough to be an idol herself.
In fact, like many of the other compliments Aera has received in her life, it goes straight to her head. More, even, since it’s the highest compliment one can pay to her:
You deserve attention, Jeon Aera.
“Yeah, I do,” she croons quietly to herself, vain smile in place as she waits in an audition room at the age of fourteen. And waits. And waits. And waits. She doesn’t understand; wasn’t she supposed to go sooner than this?
Finally, a man steps out: tall, scrutinizing, taking in a shaking Aera. Any confidence she’d had before is shot now, and she’s a mess, hair sticking up palms sweaty. She wipes them on her skirt and enters the audition room. She introduces herself, but the scouts don’t really… react. That’s a first.
She has a dance routine that she’s been practicing for a while now. Aside from her face and her siblings, dancing is her number one passion. So she takes a deep breath, ‘cause you’ve been training for this for years, Jeon Aera.
“Years” is over in the course of a couple beats. One of the auditioners holds up his hand like Gordon Ramsay eating an undercooked chicken and basically tells her to scram.
That night, she cries, and it’s really not pretty, so she ignores Areum and Hamin knocking on the bathroom door while she wails in the bathtub clutching pearls that she borrowed from her mom’s jewelry box for the occasion.
Drama? Yes. Healthy coping mechanisms? Lacking.
But she’s not Jeon Aera if she doesn’t bounce back for nothing. When she opens the door to her concerned siblings, her hair is immaculate, her mascara is wiped off, and her puckered smile says, “Look out, world!”
Unfortunately, the middle Jeon finds in coming months that this is a repeat experience. For all her visuals and charisma and surprisingly good energy when dancing, she, well— oh, what’s a polite way to put this?— she’s about as forgettable as a loaf of raisin bread. But at least a raisin bread’s got some pizzazz to it.
So imagine her absolute shock when her sister, Areum— sweet, quiet, unassuming angel Areum— announces that she’s been scouted at a company called Starscape.
Aera could write a book about her opinion on that news. She’d title it, “Oh, Um, Okay, That Makes NO Sense Whatsoever But That’s Fine, Areum. It’s Really Fine.” (It’s not fine.)
Don’t get her wrong. She’s proud of her sister like crazy, but frankly it’s a huge hit on her own pride to have auditioned for over sixteen companies (seventeen after she tries her hand at Worldwide tomorrow) and been solemnly rejected from every single one when her younger twin doesn’t even have to lift a finger. When Aera’s jealous, she’s mean. When she’s mean, people cry. If Areum cries, Aera becomes ten times more upset than she was before.
So she tamps down her jealousy, inhales through the nose, focuses her energy on all the good feelings, and says, “Maybe I should audition too.”
She said it originally as a joke, but hey, that’s actually a good idea. She really should do that. It would be nice to be in the same company as her sister, especially since she got rejected from the same company as her brother; the Jeon sisters are, after all, two sides to the same coin. Different in all ways, but never detachable from the other.
If you ask the now-twenty-one-year-old Aera how the hell she got into Starscape, she’d bite her lip playfully, peer at you through thick, lowered lashes, then twirl a strand of chocolate hair around a finger before flipping it over a shoulder.
“Don’t be ridiculous. They just loved my charm and talent.”
If you ask the Starscape scout who discovered her, he’d blink at you, flip through the notes on his clipboard, and say, “That Jeong Aera who debuted with Cherrysoda now? Yeah, Starscape knew they needed more girls on Pop!Stars. She’s somewhat pretty, I suppose.” Then he’d ask you to get him a coffee, because he wants to double-check his notes on who actually did end up letting Jeong Aera into the company.
Her name’s not even Jeong Aera, for God’s sake. That’s how utterly forgettable she was at the audition. But pretty? Yes, that’s one thing she’s been her whole life. Prettiness and well-meaning shallowness and a dorky grin. Oh, and the mean streak. It’s easy to forget the mean streak, considering she’s usually so nice, but then again, she’d argue that everyone’s got one.
How she actually got in?
Hard work.
It’s not really something a person would expect from Aera. When it comes to ditzy, she’s about as much as a person can get. Her parents never really pushed her for much aside from expecting her to model with that impressive height of hers. The only reason they wanted her to dance was because a dancer’s physique has always been desirable. But she has… what’s a polite way to put it…
Severe tunnel vision when it comes to achieving her goals.
You see, when Aera realized that the opportunity to live, work, and dance with Areum was too good to pass up, she spent every waking moment in the practice rooms. It was easy to give up on the other companies, but Summit specifically— no way could she let that go. She already wasn’t that good at school to begin with— studying time became dancing time. Tutoring time became singing time. Beauty sleep time stayed beauty sleep time, ‘cause the idol triple threat was very obviously vocals, dance, and visual. It’s how she came in second place on Pop!Star Survival; she’s not naturally talented, but damn if she can’t fake it.

biography: jeon aera
Hot Chocolate Kisses
((Wooooaaahhh...when was the last time I was here, ya’ll? None of you better say last year because I know that! Haha. How is everyone doing?! I hope the start to your new year was a fresh one. I’m having good thoughts for myself this new year and some New Year’s resolutions that actually seem attainable! Anyway, I’ve been working on this little cutie off and on for awhile and finally finished it, so I hope you enjoy it! Thank you to everyone who still follows me and reads my stories even though it’s been forever since I’ve updated any of them!))
Pairing: MinghaoxChubby-Black!Reader
Genre: Cute and fluffy
Word Count: 3,372
Summary: You like the hot chocolate from a certain cafe and Minghao is all too eager to join you on your outing. Vernon wants to tag along, but Jeonghan is having none of that shit because he and Joshua have been waiting for a confession between their favorite couple of their favorite real-life romantic drama and he’ll be damned if Vernon ruins that for them.
“Ah, Y/N, are you going somewhere?”
“I’m being a brat today. I want hot chocolate, but only from a specific café that’s further in the city. I think it’s like a block away from that Chinese restaurant that Jun and Minghao took us all to. Does anyone want to come with?”
“I’ll go! I can drive us!”
Joshua caught a chuckle before it made itself known, watching with Jeonghan and Jihoon as their resident cool cutie magically appeared in the living room of the dorms the minute your name was spoken and quite eagerly volunteered to accompany you on your outing. The smile you gave him radiated warmly and Joshua could only guess a blush was heating your cheeks from the way you patted one with the back of your fingers after Minghao asked you to wait for him and then ran into his room to get ready.
“Does anyone else want to go?” you asked, turning your attention to the three hyungs of the Vocal Unit with an inviting smile, “Jeonghan? Josh? Woozi?”
Jeonghan answered for them, waving his hand with a grin and saying, “We’re okay, Y/N. You have all the company you need with our cool cutie. Go enjoy yourself.”
You patted your cheeks again and smiled bashfully for reasons you never voiced but everyone knew of regardless, for they were the same reasons that Minghao was always so quick to respond to your name or the sound of your voice: Minghao had a crush on you and you had a crush on him, too.
Minghao’s signs that he was rather fond of you started manifesting not long after you and your performance group came to South Korea for a collaboration you were doing with Seventeen, though one could argue it started even before that. Your group had arrived two months ago, but for a full month before that, both groups had been in contact via phone or video call. During that time, Minghao had mentioned- more than once- how nice your voice sounded and how much he liked the way you spoke, a rather ‘funny’ grin on his face as he casually said this with the barest hint of a blush.
Meeting you face to face only solidified that fondness, intensified it to something more until every member of Seventeen and your performance group noticed a shift taking place
Joshua was the first one to notice and had been a faithful viewer of this cute and sweet drama he- like the dork he is- dubbed “Baobei: The Minghao and Y/N Love Story”.
“Where are you going, Y/N?” Vernon meandered into the living area, his face aglow with the blue of his phone screen.
“Do you remember that café next to the Chinese restaurant we all went to that one time?” you responded.
“Oh yeah, I love that café! I want to go, too!”
“No, you don’t,” Jeonghan intervened quickly.
Jeonghan was a faithful viewer, too, and quite eager for the love to finally bloom and flourish.
Vernon’s brow furrowed, “What? Come on, hyung.”
“You still have to finish your lyrics with Mingyu, don’t you?”
“We’ve been working on them all afternoon!”
The three older members chuckled at Vernon’s whining, but Jeonghan wouldn’t budge, “And you’ll be working on them all night if you stop now. Get it done now and you won’t have to worry about it at 3 AM like last time.”
Vernon pouted exaggeratedly, pulling a laugh from you as you went to comfort him with a hand on his shoulder; “Sorry, Vernon. Do you want me to bring something back for you?” you offered, smiling when his face brightened.
“Can you?” he asked just as Minghao came back into the living room.
“Ready. Thank you for waiting,” he said, fixing a black mouth mask to his face before moving to grab his coat from the front closet along with his scarf.
“No problem,” you answered, smiling up at Minghao a notch brighter than before, “Just text me what you want, Vernon, and I’ll bring it back, okay?”
“Thanks, noona!”
You waved your goodbye to those that were present and turned towards the door when Minghao casually grabbed the lapel of your coat and pulled you back; “Zip up. Zip up. It’s especially cold right now,” he said, sliding the zipper into place for you.
“Oh.  Thank you.” You didn’t meet his eye, but smiled nonetheless and patted your cheeks before zipping your coat up further, “Ready?”
Minghao nodded and followed you to the door, “See you guys later!”
“You two be careful. Behave yourselves,” Jeonghan called, rising from his armchair to go into the kitchen.
“We know, hyung. We have fans everywhere, so we’ll be careful not to draw attention to ourselves.”
“That’s not what I was referring to, but okay,” he said cheekily, disappearing into the kitchen while you and Minghao stood in the entrance way just before the door, puzzled.
Joshua snickered and waved them off, “Have fun!”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Nearly every radio station had Christmas music playing on loop, but you weren’t a fan of all the commercials. So Minghao handed over the AUX cord and let you plug your phone into your Spotify Christmas playlist. The car ride was relaxed and fun, you and Minghao giggling and dancing to the music as much as sitting and driving in a car would allow…but the atmosphere was…different.
Neither one of you spoke much and when you did, it wasn’t very loud like it normally would be. This was far from the first time you two had been alone together, numerous V-Lives and recorded performance rehearsals proof of that, so you weren’t uncomfortable around one another. And the atmosphere wasn’t ‘tense’. Just…different; like a simmer of change hanging in the air, corralling the both of you into a comfortably peaceful world that you didn’t want to disturb.
Minghao struggled to concentrate on driving, only wanting to stare at you as you sat beside him…because you seemed to be glowing. He could be disgustingly cheesy and say you were glowing like an angel, but…well, even if he did want to be that cheesy, it wouldn’t be accurate. You were glowing more like…Christmas. Lit up with a hundred bright colors was how you glowed, bringing warmth and wonder and magic into Minghao’s world.
You were already the prettiest person he had ever seen- brown skin like ground cocoa beans, the curliest hair that wrapped around any solid thing that played in it, and a round, chubby body perfect for hip-hugging jeans, body-con dresses and day-long cuddles. And you glowed…like Christmas. He wanted to stare at you all day.
“Speed bump!”
“Oh! Hang on!”
His arm shot out across your torso as he braced himself, Minghao unable to slow down fast enough or safe enough before the car was going over the speed bump roughly. He felt you lurch against his arm and bounce up, your head nearly hitting the roof.
“Whoo! Six Flags!” you joked with a laugh.
Minghao shook his head, his own laugh a little jilted and nervous, “Ah…Sorry. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine! I didn’t hit my head or anything,” you answered.
“Are you sure?” He moved his arm away from your chest and rested his hand over yours, his palm big enough to cover from your wrist to your knuckles.
You paused for only a moment, your heart stuttering at the heat of his hand, but not wanting to embarrass him or make him stop, you spread your fingers enough for his own to fit in the hollows and tightened your hold afterward. “Yeah, I’m sure,” you said, watching his reaction carefully and grinning when he first looked down at your joined hands and then up at you.
His smile was bashful and obvious, even through his mouth mask, focusing back on the road with renewed confidence.
*~*~*~*~*
The vintage sign of your favorite cafe shined like a welcoming beacon from its place on the corner of the semi-busy street, Minghao giggling at the cute happy dance you did as he pulled around back to park in the parking lot. You were out of the car before he even turned it off, the man forever amused and even saying as such as he stepped out to find you bouncing on your toes near the trunk, waiting for him.
“I’m surprised you didn’t just run inside without me,” he teased, nudging you with his elbow.
“Trust me, I took time to seriously consider it,” you replied, scrunching your nose up at him before looping your arm through his, “But…I don’t want to go too far away from you.”
Minghao felt himself go breathless, but a smile remained ever prominent on his face, and ever obvious in the shrinking in of his eyes, as the two of you made your way from the frigid outdoors into the comforting warmth of the cafe. The baristas greeted you, the afternoon appearing to be rather slow since there was no one else in line and only a few tables were occupied.
“Hi! Welcome! What can I get started for you?” the barista asked, friendly smile in place.
“A large hot chocolate and a strawberry muffin for me!” you ordered, glancing at your companion, “Order something.”
“Hmmm…” Minghao took a moment to consider his options, “I’ll get a large hot chocolate, too, and a blueberry scone.”
“Two large hot chocolates, one strawberry muffin and one blueberry scone. Will that be all?”
“That’s it!”
“For here or to go?”
You looked at Minghao, who shrugged at you, “I wouldn’t mind taking it here.”
“For here.”
“You’re total is $16.50!”
“Y/N, there’s something on your shoes,” Minghao pointed down at your boots.
“What? Where?” Distracted, you inspected your footwear with a curious furrow of your brow, your debit card held between your fingers.
Minghao took the opportunity to give the Barista his debit card, the girl giggling as she ran it and handed it back just as you looked back at him, extending your card out.
“There was nothing on my-”
“Here’s your receipt and a number! We’ll bring your order to your table!”
“…You snake.”
Minghao laughed at the unamused glare you gave him, pinching your cheek and cooing in the process, “When you’re with me, you don’t pay for anything.”
“Really? And why is that?” you asked, quirking a brow as a little smirk tugged at the corner of your lips.
Minghao shrugged, “Because I said so.”
You were rendered speechless as the dancer took your hand in his and lead you over to a corner booth on the left side of the cafe, grateful for their choice in tinted windows that allowed for the patrons inside to enjoy the view, but kept them hidden from passersby on the outside. You slid into the booth first, closest to the window, and found your heart skipping a beat when Minghao slid in beside you. You both worked your arms out of your jackets, Minghao discarding his scarf and pushing up the sleeves of his shirt to his elbows. You sat entranced by this simple action, having always enjoyed staring at his hands, even when they were doing nothing more than adjusting his sleeves.
“How is your throat feeling?”
“…Huh?” It took you a second longer to catch up with what Minghao was asking, quite embarrassed to be caught staring at his fingers as closely as you were, “Oh! My throat. Better, actually. A lot better.”
“Good. I was worried,” he admitted, brushing a finger underneath your chin, “I told you not to push yourself so hard. You’re so stubborn.”
In the past week, you had been nursing a swollen throat that made singing a very difficult task and although you had promised not only your group mates, but Minghao as well that you would take it easy and relax it for a while, you decided to push your luck in recording a song that you were excited for when you weren’t even half-way healed. The song came out beautiful and rough, just like you imagined, but at a cost.
“I had to take advantage of how my voice sounded while it was sore. The song came out great!” you defended yourself, “Besides, I don’t want to hear anything from you about being stubborn Mr. ‘I’m Fine, I’m Fine! I Just Tweaked It!’.”
A month before you strained your throat, Minghao had twisted his ankle pretty badly. Instead of following everyone’s advice to let it rest, he insisted it wasn’t that big of a deal, that he just ‘tweaked’ it, and continued to push himself far beyond exhaustion learning new choreography. Not long after, he severely sprained that same ankle and had to be on bed rest for the following two and a half weeks.
Minghao glared dully at you as you simply stared back, your temple resting on your propped up fist. The staring continued for only a few seconds more when he- the sly, sneaky thing that he is- slipped an arm around your back and tickled your side. You squeaked and attempted to squirm away, but found yourself with nowhere to run as he locked you against his side and continued his assault, his giggling melding with yours.
“Here’s your order!” the Barista suddenly appeared and interrupted the torture you were under.
“Thank you! Thank you! Oh god, thank you!” you gasped for air, remnants of your giggling slipping through your lips.
The Barista nodded and snickered herself before she took the number that Minghao was given and then skipped away back to the counter. Once you gained your breath back, and had been reassured Minghao wouldn’t try to attack again, you picked up your drink, blew into it a few times, and took a gratifying slip. The chocolaty splendor coated your tongue and warmed you beautifully from the inside out. You hummed happily and took another sip, wiggling in your seat.
Your companion, his mouth mask tucked under his chin so he, too, could enjoy his drink, smiled at you and tapped the back of his finger against your cheek; “You’re so cute when you do that,” he mused, earning a confused hum from you, “You know, when you…”
He wiggled in his seat and you nearly choked on your muffin giggling. Minghao laughed at you, eyes shimmering and crinkled, and you were about to say something when you noticed the two baristas at the counter glancing over in your direction every few seconds or so, giddy smiles on their faces as they waited in possible anticipation. Your smile slowly fell, wondering if perhaps they recognized you and were on their way to recognizing Minghao, too.
If so, then you two would have to make a quick escape because it would only take one picture posted to social media before the cafe would be swarmed with Seventeen fans.
“What is it?”
“No, no, don’t look.” You grabbed hold of Minghao’s shoulder to keep him from turning around and averted your gaze from the counter to your table, “I think the baristas recognize us. They’re looking over here a lot.”
“Oh…” Minghao sighed and fixed his mouth mask back in place, “Maybe we should start heading back?”
“I wonder if I can order Vernon’s drink before we do,” you mused, glancing back at the counter…and pausing.
The two females had gathered together on the side closest to you and Minghao, waving you down with wide, excited smiles before pointing above you. Your brows furrowed as you glanced up…and then felt very grateful that a blush wasn’t easily noticeable on your face.
“Y/N?” Minghao followed your gaze only to find himself face to face with a mistletoe, “…Oh.”
“It’s tradition!” the baristas echoed from the counter, giggling girlishly now and waiting expectantly.
“It’s already the middle of January. I can’t believe they still have this up,” he mumbled, laughing half-heartedly in an attempt to lighten the tense atmosphere and hide the thundering of his own heart.
When his gaze settled on you again, you looked every bit as shy and nervous as he felt: quick, embarrassed glances into his eyes, your bottom lip caught between your teeth, a single curl wrapped ‘round and ‘round and ‘round your finger as you fidgeted. If Minghao weren’t caught up in this embarrassing situation with you, he would have been teasing you.
As it was, though…
“It may be tradition, but we don’t have to follow it, Y/N. It’s okay,” he assured you, his eyes narrowing with his reassuring smile beneath his mask.
You finally worked up the courage to meet his eye, holding his gaze for extended seconds that felt like minutes…hours…an eternity. He couldn’t tell what you were thinking, only that you were coming to some final conclusion. He stiffened when your hand lifted up and your fingers, soft and gentle, curled into the top corner of his mouth mask. You pulled down carefully until it settled underneath his chin again, your fingers resting there, trembling.
Minghao didn’t know if he had taken a breath in the 60 seconds that had passed, but he felt lightheaded and his lungs were burning. His eyes never left yours, even though it became increasingly difficult to hold contact with how close you were drawing to him. Closer and closer until your breaths were mingling, until your nose bumped his…until your lips were slanting with his and colors were exploding behind his eyelids. He remembered to breathe at last, inhaling you and the chocolaty taste on your lips…and he never wanted to be anywhere else ever again.
The baristas might’ve squealed. They might’ve taken a million and one pictures, but literally nothing else held any importance except for you and this warm, chocolaty kiss. A smile curled your lips as you pulled back, your dark eyes glimmering and his own vision all fuzzy with adoration. He laughed breathlessly in the short space between your lips before his hand cupped your cheek and he was kissing you this time.
He was vaguely aware of a sharp squeal, but…he was sure it wasn’t important.
*~*~*~*
Stepping out of the cafe with Vernon’s drink held securely in your hands, you and Minghao bid your goodbyes to the baristas- ignoring their incessant giggling. Snow fell quietly around you, soft little flakes brushing your cheeks and landing in your hair. Minghao stood before you then, quiet and thoughtful, just staring at you like he’d been doing after the kiss you shared under the mistletoe. You gazed back, unabashed and only a little shy.
He chuckled quietly; “Just so we’re clear,” he started, unwinding his scarf from his neck, “That kiss meant more to me than some silly tradition.”
He draped the scarf around your neck, wrapping it around twice and melting when you snuggled into it, “I like you, Y/N. I have for a long time…I think I liked you before I Even met you, the minute I heard your voice over the phone.”
His cheeks were stained pink and you had a good feeling it was from more than the cold. A smile as sweet and bright as all the Christmas lights prettied your face, “I like you, too, Minghao. I’ve been wanting to tell you for a while, but…I was too chicken.”
In his elation, the dancer lowered his mouth mask, grabbed the edges of the scarf wrapped around you, and tugged you close for another tender kiss.
“You’re mine to take care of now,” he said as he pulled back, taking your hand in his and leading you to the car, “So I’m going to be taking extra care to make sure you don’t strain your voice like that again.”
“And I’m going to glue your ass to a chair the next time you ‘tweak’ your ankle,” you shot back, giving him a little half-smirk that dissolved into laughter when he pinched your side, Minghao resisting the urge to press you against the car and kiss you silly.
There would be time for that later…plenty of time to make up for.

JinJin-Birthmark Soulmate AU
Word count: 4,680
Note: Sorry it’s a bit lengthy. Excuse my grammar and spelling mistakes please! It’s my first time writing something like this but I hope you enjoy it!
Globally everyone knew that soulmates were real, but everyone also knew how rare it would be to find their soulmate. During the early 1900’s was when the idea of soulmates was discovered to be real. In the following decades only one or two soulmates found each other. After traveling had become more convenient did that number rise but only slightly. In the past decade, only five couples had found there soulmates. (Of course those were the known ones). Since so few soulmates actually found each other little was known about it and some even thought it to be a hoax.
“Y/n! I found Astro’s new episode of Weekly Idol with english subs for you! Stop staring at your birth mark!” Mae yelled at you. With Astro’s newest comeback and the most recent events to happen you imagined what if JinJin was your soulmate! “As if that would happen. Especially with an idol thats never happened” you laugh to yourself as you hide the birthmark on your left shoulder.
“Did you hear about the soulmates that found each a few years ago?” Mae asked. You gave her a look to say “no duh~”. You and Mae have been friends since first year of high school and it wasn’t till senior year that you both became best friends. By some string of fate you both ended up attending the same college and your friendship has only grown stronger. She introduced Running Man to you and after that even introduced kpop to you. (well technically you got into kpop because you discovered a group after watching a web drama) “Well..” she continued “… apparently they finally agreed to talk to the scientists and the press! Do you know what this means?? Its finally confirmed what happens when soulmates meet each other!” Mae was not one for sappy, cliche, cheesy love stories but she did find the idea of soulmates an interesting topic to discover. You raised yours brows and went wide eyed. She continued to skim the article and finally spoke. “Ok so we all know every soulmate has matching birthmarks but on opposite sides of the body… Apparently they said the first time they met it was like static and all of a sudden both their birthmarks began to hurt and when they checked for their birthmark on their hands it had gone away!” You laughed in amusement at her excitement and brought your attention to your own laptop to continue the subbed episode she had found for you.
You completely fell in love with Astro. When Mae had realized you were more open to the world of Kpop when you had discovered the new rookie group so she began to show you videos of a group she liked, KNK. But all the videos she ever showed you included a cheerful, hyper and bright group… Astro. Once you checked out their MVs on youtube and listened to their debut song “Hide and Seek” you fell for them… HARD; and continued to watch videos on your own. “y/n, did you check your status on the study abroad? I just checked mine and I got accepted to the Seoul, Korea program!” You and Mae had been planning to do study abroad at the same time but had differences in interests. You, Japan. Her, Korea. But due to her constant begging and persuasion, you also applied for the Seoul, Korea program. You sighed as you checked your email. “I didn’t get accepted to the Japan program… BUT! I got into the Seoul!” You both began to jump up and down and started planning the details.
After the long flight the two of you were finally getting off the plane. Even with the jet lag and all the delays, you were both completely awake and excited. “I can’t believe we’re finally here!” Mae was jumping up and down with glee as the two of you walked to customs. “I can’t believe both Astro AND Seventeen will have concerts while we’re here!” “What if you ran into your U/B~?” You sang in a sing-song voice and laughed. As you quickly dodge her slap to your arm, you take a step back and accidentally bump back-to-back with someone and feel a slight shock.
Immediately, you turn around and slightly bow as you apologize. “Ah… Sumimasen… I mean! I’m sorry!… I mean… ah…” As you continued to forget how to say sorry in Korean your face and ears began to turn completely red. You quickly glance at the person but in embarrassment look back down to the floor. The man had a mask and black baseball cap on and in your opinion had good fashion sense.
He giggled and with a deep voice and accent said “It’s ok.” The two of you turn around and walk opposite ways. Mae continues to tease you and laugh at the run in but your mind was off in the clouds as you try to rub away the shocking feeling on your shoulder and the odd feeling that you had met the person before.
“Jin Jin Hyung! Hyung! Hyung! Jin Jin Ah!” “Ya!” Jin Jin yelled as he hit his annoying maknae. Jin Jin and the rest of Astro (along with some of the staff) were on the way to the gate for their flight for an overseas concert and as usual Sanha was annoying Jin Jin.
“I can’t believe we’re on our way to another overseas concert. It feels like we just had our Dream Pt.1 concert not long ago.” Eunwoo continued to reminisce aloud. Everyone began to mess with him and laugh. Jin Jin began to laugh hard and lost balance causing him to take a step back. Running into someone. As he turned around he immediately said sorry but began to laugh at the girl’s reaction. “Ah… Sumimasen… I mean! I’m sorry!… I mean… ah…” Seeing how she reacted he figured she did not recognize him and began to laugh at how flustered she was. “It’s ok.” He replied and turned to continue walking. Without the rest of the group noticing he looked back at the girl and caught a quick glimpse of her face.
“She’s cute” he thought as he turned back to the rest of the group and rubbed the pain in his right shoulder.
The six weeks of classes and field trips was coming to an end. You and Mae were busy studying for finals and planning the next three weeks before you go back home.
“Ok so I already bought the tickets for the Seventeen concert and Astro concert. We didn’t get into the fan signing event for Seventeen, but we got into the Astro one!” Mae was sad that we couldn’t go to the Seventeen fan sign event but was excited for you. “How’s your shoulder doing by the way?” she asked as she went back to her studying. For the past six weeks your shoulder had an uncomfortable numbness to it ever since that run in at the airport.
“WAIT! What if that was your soulmate! What if the guy you bumped into at the airport was your soulmate? Maybe thats why he was so familiar to you?” Mae suddenly jumped up causing you to fall off your chair in shock. “Ha! As if that would happen. You know its rare to find your soulmate and even if it was him I doubt I’d ever see him again.” You calmly respond as you get back on your chair. “Maybe its still hurting because he’s nearby. I’m telling you! Before we leave Korea you’ll meet your soulmate again.” Ignoring her comment you both go back to studying.
“Hyung can you check my shoulder again? The pain is still there.” Jin Jin asked MJ as he pulled the right side of his shirt down. “Jin Jin the doctors said there was nothing wrong with it. Maybe you’re working out too much or adding too much weight to the bars.” “No I’m not! I haven’t even gotten the chance to work out that much these past few weeks.”
MJ quickly ran out their shared bedroom door and checked the rest of the dorm if the other members were there. “JIN JIN!” he yelled as he ran back in shutting the door and locking it. Jin Jin was shocked as MJ suddenly forced Jin Jin’s shirt off “Hyung! What are you doing!?” “Look at your shoulder!” Jin Jin did just as his hyung told him to do. His eyes opened wide and his mouth agape. “My birthmark! Its faded!”
“Do you know what this means? It means that you’ve run into your soulmate! Do you know when the pain started?” MJ began to jump up and down the room. “Hyung! Hyung! Calm down! I think it started when I ran into that girl at the airport on our way to the overseas concert… We don’t know if this is for sure because of my soulmate. It could just look like it’s faded…” Still in disbelief he sat there in shock. MJ noticing his friend’s reaction quietly sat down next to him. “What’s wrong?” He asked calmly.
“I don’t know hyung… What if this affects our popularity? What if the others get disappointed in me? What if I get kicked out of Astro? What if I ruin her life with the publicity? What if it doesn’t work out? I mean we’re idols we have busy lives. What if she doesn’t like me or want to see me? I mean its not like I’d be able to see her again anyways right?…” He took a deep breath and sighed. “Hyung I don’t know what do. Theres so much going through my mind right now… Can we keep this a secret from the rest of the group?” MJ nodded as he placed Jin Jin’s head on his shoulder and hugged him.
“I’m so excited! Aren’t you excited y/n????” Mae asked hitting your arm. “Ow! You know my shoulder is hurting yet you keep hitting me.” You cried. It was the week before you leave to go home and the two of you were counting down the days. You had gone to both Seventeen and Astro’s concerts and now it was the final day you were really excited about. Astro’s fan signing event. She apologized and and looked at you with worry. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about it. It’s just hurting a lot more than usual for some reason.” You sighed and finally got excited. “Look they’re finally letting us in!”
“Hyung~ are you sure you’re ok?” Sanha continued to whine. “For the tenth time, IM FINE SANHA!” Jin Jin yelled as he rubbed his shoulder. “Don’t worry. I can smile to the fans.” he calmly told his manager. They went out on the stage with smiles on their faces as they waved to the screaming crowd. After taking their seats (from youngest to oldest), the manager got the crowd to calm down and get in a line. One girl caught Jin Jin’s eye. You. But he didn’t know why and just went back to greeting and talking to the fans currently in front of him.
You began to fan girl as you got closer and closer to the members. “What if i forget what I’m gonna say to them?? Or if I forget to give my gift??” You began to panic and Mae laughed in amusement. “Thats why you have the note cards to read it or to show it to them if they don’t understand you and I doubt you’ll forget to give your gift. If anything I’ll be right after you to remind you.” As you got closer and closer your nerves got stronger and so did the pain in your shoulder.
Finally you got to Sanha. He was amused with how hard you tried to speak in Korean and he tried to respond to english which made both of you laugh. Rocky was confused so he read your note card and laughed and helped teach you how to pronounce each word. Moonbin was so happy when you gave him a box of chocolate from back home. Eunwoo told you to be comfortable and just talk in english so that “he could practice” (but you know he was just being considerate. Finally it was Jin Jin’s turn. You felt your heart beating uncontrollably as the nerves got multiplied by a 100.
Jin Jin watched as the girl came closer and closer and suddenly she was right in front of him. He couldn’t help but smile larger than he had with the other fans. He noticed the note cards in his hand and silently laughed to himself. He didn’t understand why but this girl amused him so much.
“Hi!” He smiled at you. “It’s ok. You can speak english.” A part of you was relieved and you began to talk to him calmly. “Mianhae. I was here for study abroad but my Korean is still bad.” You said shyly barely able to look at him. “My name is y/n.” He just continued to smile and stare at you as he finished signing your album. For some reason he was so happy and star struck by you he couldn’t speak. “It was nice to meet you y/n. Thank you for coming.” He finally said as he reached his hand out to you for a high-five. “I’m really glad I got to meet you in person” You said with a smile as you got up reached your hand out. As the two of you interlocked hands a sudden pain shot through the both of you. Both of you let go causing you to pass out and fall to the ground. Jin Jin was scream in pain as he held his shoulder trying to stay in his chair.
You slowly wake up. As your vision and hearing becomes clear you notice you are lying down on a couch. Clothes, make up kits, snacks, and other equipment fill the room you are in. “Oh y/n, you’re awake!” Mae comes running up to you from the snacks table and hands you bottled water. “Where are we? What happened?” you ask as you drink the water. “We’re in the dressing room. You passed out after you and Jin Jin suddenly started to cry out in pain… Don’t worry about Jin Jin. They brought him back here when they brought you and checked his shoulder… Y/n… I overheard them say his birthmark disappeared.” You opened your eyes wide and rushed to check your shoulder. Mae gasped and you opened your mouth in shock. Your birthmark was gone too. You could not believe this was happening. The fact that not only did you find your soulmate but that your soulmate was your ultimate bias was unfathomable. Just as you were about to say something Astro’s manager walked into the room with a person wearing a “Translator” badge.
“Was your birthmark on your left shoulder?” You nodded. “I don’t know if your friend told you but, Jin Jin’s was on his shoulder too and it disappeared after the scene the two of you caused.” He sighed and scratched the back of his neck. “Since this is the first time this has happened to an idol we honestly don’t know what to do. While I am contacting the CEO about the incident the two of you will wait here. Jin Jin will come after the fan signing has ended.” After the two of you nod your heads, both the manager and the translator walk out of the room, leaving the two of you to process what has happened.
The event was finally over. You could tell because all the staff were rushing around packing and cleaning. You could hear the faint cheers coming from the other side of the door. You and Mae sat in silence, as she figured from your expression that you needed it.
Finally, everything was quiet. All the staff had packed up the equipment and make up leaving the clothes and other random things in the room and left. Past the door was silent for what seemed like forever. Until finally you could hear faint whispers in Korean which Mae also heard and whispered the translation to you, “Just go in there already!… I’m sure she’s just as nervous as you are but don’t you realize how exciting this is? How happy you would be and how happy all of us would be for you??” The whispers became louder as he continued to talk. “But hyung…” “No! No buts! For once don’t worry about what will happen and just take this chance to be happy for yourself. If its the universe’s work then I’m sure the universe will make sure everything will work out.”
You were moved by MJ’s advice to Jin Jin. (and yes you know it’s MJ cuz of course he can’t keep his voice down haha) You take a deep breath as you hear them open the door. Jin Jin is first through the door and as you make eye contact it was like all your nerves and worries faded away. He walks in, MJ following behind him, and walks towards you. By some odd reason you got up from the couch and ran into his embrace. He twirled you giggling and when he finally set you down the two of you make eye contact again both smiling happily. Your faces slowly (by the same odd force that made you get up and run to him) got closer. Lips almost touching until…
“Eh hem” both Mae and MJ cleared their throats. You both suddenly realized what had happened, took a step back from each other with heads bowed to the ground and ears and face completely red. Mae and MJ began to laugh at the two of you. “HYUNG!” “MAE!” you both yelled at the same time you look at each other and began to laugh.
After all four of you had calmed down, Jin Jin went up to you and politely reached his hand out to you for a handshake. “I’m Jinwoo…” he laughed awkwardly. “I’m y/n” you giggled back as you shook his hand. The two of you smiled at each other staring into the other’s eyes, still holding hands. “Um… I can somewhat translate for you guys if you have trouble saying something in the other’s language…” Mae suggested to the both of you in English and Korean.
The two of you sat on the couch next to each other with an awkward distance in-between. MJ and Mae pulled up chairs to sit in front of the two of you. Jin Jin just stared at you with his puppy dog eyes making you blush and look away. MJ (feeling awkward by Jin Jin’s actions decides to speak up “um… It’s a little late to say this but… Hi! I’m MyungJun… How much longer will the two of you be here in Korea?” Mae surprised by the question answers it herself after translating it. “We leave Friday of next week…”
“EHHHH???” Jin Jin snapped out of his stare and went into panic causing him to speak faster than Mae can understand. He jumped up and pulled you up into his embrace. “We just met and you already leave next week???” You could feel the blood rush to his face and the small drops of tears forming in his eyes. “y/n, I have so many worries and responsibilities and stress with being part of Astro and meeting you. I just want to tell of them to you. Rant to you. Figure out how to make things work. I don’t even know if you like me to begin with.”
You strengthened your embrace and told him “Of course I like you! You’ve always been my ultimate bias!” you chuckled. “It’s ok. Don’t worry about everything else. We’ll figure it out over time.” Your warm voice caused him to almost break into tears. You look up and notice that MJ and Mae had been looking at the two of you in shock. You gave Mae a confused face. In turn she responded “y/n… You just spoke in fluent Korean…” “Jin Jin you spoke in English!” MJ exclaimed. You two take a step back from your embrace unsure why but both happily accept what had happened. You could not only completely speak and understand Korean but most importantly be able to communicate with Jin Jin and the same was for him.
Suddenly the door slammed wide open. The other four members of Astro came rushing in. Jin Jin suddenly pulled you and Mae behind him and MJ and bowed to them. Suddenly he went from being happy to sad. His whole body shaking as he struggled to speak. “I’m sorry…” He began to shake more tears flowing down his cheeks. He continued to apologize over and over. The others said nothing. Eunwoo, followed by Moonbin and then the rest surrounded him and hugged him. Eunwoo broke the silence with a shaky voice “Hyung! Why are you crying! You’ll make the rest of us cry.” “Ya! Jin Jin hyung, your supposed to be happy! We’re happy for you!” Moonbin said as he jokingly hit Jin Jin’s arm. “Like I told you before dummy! Don’t worry about what will happen. We’re all happy for you and whatever happens happens. We’ll all get through this. You’ll get through this and now you have another special person in your life to be there for you… Jin Jin, stop putting all the pressure on yourself. We’re all here for you.” Jin Jin cried in their embrace for a good 10 min.
Jin Jin finally calmed down. Eunwoo hit him on the arm as they dispersed from their huddle. “Hyung! Introduce us to her!” All of their attention suddenly went to you. Sanha suddenly ran up right to your face and started to wave at you. “Hi, I’m Sanha!… Ah! I remember you!” Rocky pulled Sanha back to give you space and said “Hi I’m Minhyuk but you can keep calling me Rocky if you want.” Moonbin and Eunwoo walked up next to Rocky. “I’m Dongmin but you can keep calling me Eunwoo if you want.” “I’m Moonbin! Thank you for the chocolates again!” Moonbin hugged you. “YA! That’s my soulmate! Give her some space.” Jin Jin began to nag at them as he pulled them to the other side of the room.
All their love and care for each other that you watched from your computer screen was happening right in front of you and it made you happy. You began to laugh making them move their attention to you once again. “It’s nice to meet all of you. I’m y/n” you smiled at them. They were shocked hy your sudden fluency in Korean so Jin Jin explained what happened.
“Waaaah! NOONA IS SO NICE! You don’t deserve her hyung. Your the opposite. Your mean.” Sanha stuck his tung out playfully at Jin Jin earning him a punch and a kick from him. “See noona! Jin Jin hyung is mean to me!” he yelled as he ran behind you.
The eight of you became comfortable after that talking and laughing. You felt all your worries go away until… “Noona, when do you leave?” Eunwoo asked you sitting on the couch. “Oh… We leave next week Friday…” Everyone suddenly became quiet when they heard your response. Moonbin looked over to Jin Jin with concern. “Hyung…” He was interrupted by a knock on the door. All the members of Astro stopped what they were doing and politely greeted their manager and those that filed in after him; the translator and another person, the CEO of Fantagio. MJ, who was standing near you, whispered to you and Mae who he was, causing the two of you to quickly get up and properly greet him. Jin Jin went up to their manager and explained that you no longer needed the translator and Mae could understand enough that she didn’t need it either.
After the translator left, their manager and CEO sat down at the table in the middle of the room and asked you and Jin Jin to sit in the last two seats. The rest of Astro sat down on the couch behind you and brought over a stool for Mae to sit on next to them. The atmosphere was suffocating. You could feel the tension and worries on everyones’ mind.
Finally, the CEO faced your direction and asked in an intimidating tone; “What is your name?” “y/n sir” “Do you understand the situation the two of you are in?” This time is question was aimed to both of you. “Yes. We know its complicated especially because this is the first time it has happened to an idol.” Jin Jin quickly stated and then bowed his head down. The CEO sighed and scratched the back of his head. “What do you think should happen?” he asked. Confidently you tell him “I leave next week friday to go home. If possible… I think we would both want to spend as much time together as possible before then… I don’t want Jin Jin to give up or be kicked out of Astro. He has a lot of fans and Astro wouldn’t be the same without him. If thats what being together means then… I’d rather sacrifice being together so he can stay in Astro and shine like the star I know he is.” You just looked at the manager and the CEO both with poker faces on. Jin Jin looked at you with admiration and affection. He couldn’t believe you had said that with confidence.
“For now our priority is to avoid a scandal. Obviously after the scene the two of you created earlier, the internet is already spreading with curiosity and rumors. While we wait for that incident to calm down, we will be thinking over all the possibilities.” He sighed and said with full sincerity in his voice. “To be honest, removing Jin Jin from Astro is the worst thing we would want to do. Until we make a decision we will allow the two of you to spend time together while you are here but, with our approval as to avoid scandal. Also, until we make a decision we will allow you to keep in contact after you leave.” Jin Jin takes your hand and smiles to you making you smile back. “y/n. Jinwoo. You must agree that you understand whatever our decision ends up being that both of you will accept it. y/n. You must also acknowledge that you understand whatever may happen will for sure change your life. Are you willing to accept it?” You and Jin Jin look to each other. “Yes I am acknowledging and accepting.” “If y/n is willing to accept it then… Yes.”
Happy with the outcome of the talk the CEO and manager get up and walk out the door. Jin Jin faced you and took both of your hands in his as he stared into your eyes. “Y/n… I don’t know what will happen. But, I do know I want to make the most the time we have together right now and no matter what may happen. I want you to know that I love you.” You couldn’t help but giggle. “I love you too!” He leaned in to kiss you but was cut short. “EEEEEEWWWWW!” “Jin Jin hyung there’s an innocent baby here!” One by one the members continued to add to their complaints. As Jin Jin went to go get mad at his younger brothers you went over to Mae both of you giggling. “I’m happy I didn’t get accepted into the Japan program… I guess it is possible to find a soulmate huh?” She laughed and nudged her shoulder to yours. “I told you it was.”
You both giggle and walk over to join the fun starting to make the most of the time you have with Jinwoo.

Love, Live, and Heal
Word count: 2085
Genre: Angst
Member(characters): Wonwoo, You, Moonbin, Mark, & rest of Seventeen (but as a group)
Summary: Your two best friends die 5 minutes apart, how are you going to cope with it?
You know this if for you, don’t be sad too long. It’s okay to cry and let all your emotions roam free. I’m here whenever you want to talk to me and want to cry and need a shoulder. Don’t shy away from telling what’s wrong or going on in your life okay? Also I wrote this super fast and I don’t know if the story flows well, but its the best I could do with writers block, a pounding headache, a sprained ankle, and a stomach that is hurting like the pits of hell.
“Hey.” Someone sat down right in front of me
“Go away.” I huffed not looking up from my phone
“What, no.”
I roll my eyes as I let out a sigh and look up, my eyes traveled all around his face until it dawned upon me, “Wonwoo what do you want.”
“You’re acting all weird again I don’t like it.” He put his elbows on the seats armrests and started to lean forward, “What’s happening in your life? You haven’t spoken to me in 24 hours.” His eyes held a deep genuine worry
“Nothings wrong.”
“You see when girls say that, they usually mean the complete opposite. So honestly, are you going to tell me or are you going to suffer again by yourself?”
I stayed silent hoping he would drop the topic of conversation and talk about his new choreo that he created.
“Fine.” Wonwoo stood up and looked down at me, his fingers ran through his long shaggy auburn brown hair. It stayed quiet for a few seconds which genuinely felt like centuries, “Don’t tell me. Suffer through something that’s making you really depressed again because you simply cannot tell me what is going on through that head of yours.” He looked away for a split second and back at my drooping head, “It’s not like I cared anyways.” I thought that he had walked away
I never thought that he would give up so easily ever in his life, but after dealing with me not being able to speak about the rough patches in my life, he started to learn how to deal with my stubborn emotions. I wish that he’d pry the answers out of me and that he would always stay by my side. But all things don’t last forever, and some things surely die.
Two days beforehand
I dialed Moonbin’s number into my phone as I waited patiently at the bottom of my apartment for him to arrive.  Moonbin was someone I knew ever since the womb. Our mothers were childhood best friends and they grew up and old together. I always wanted someone like that in my life and god blessed me with Moonbin. We did everything together, from our first cut on the knee, to eating our very first pomegranates, getting our first kiss and special someone, all the way to our very first breakups. You name it, we experienced all together, and I was so grateful to have a bestfriend like him. We hung out everyday until Moonbin’s acceptance into Fantagio as their new trainee. I watched him from behind my computer screen on iTeen and his little web-drama, what a dork. He debuted with the group, Astro with five other equally as dorky, lovable, handsome kids. But for Moonbin and the rest of Astro were all like my older and younger brothers, they were there for me all the time and held a special place in my heart. Moonbin and I stayed in contact until this day, no force could ever pull us apart.
“Moonbin?”
“Hello?”
“Are you almost here?” I sat on the small stairs that led up to the lobby of my apartment and started to clap my feet together
“Yeah I’m almost there, I just stopped by at the bakery. Is Mark there yet?”
Mark, debuted with NCT 127 and is doing such an amazing job in his life. Today was the day he got a rest so he disguised himself and called us up after he hasn’t seen any of us in a while.
Flashback
Mark was a friend we met while in secondary school. He was new to the class and had told us that he was a trainee with SM, everyone started to bombard him with questions and asking him to get signatures and to give out numbers. Moonbin and I were talking as usual in our seats in the back and didn’t bother to look up at the commotion that stirred our class the wrong direction. Mark’s gaze landed upon us and started to walk towards our seats. Of course we were curious as how life was as a trainee and if he got to see the groups and soloists that were with SM, but we knew that this is another life he was supposed to live, that we should give him air and space.
“Hi, I’m Mark. Originally from Vancouver, Canada.” His hands were shoved in his pockets and a bright smile took over his small face
“I’m Moonbin. Originally from Cheongju, South Korea.” He offered his hand to Mark with a similar flashy smile that got his eyes to crease into small dark crescents, Mark took his hand firmly and shook it without hesitation
“I’m _______. Originally from Vancouver, Canada as well.” I laugh and shake my hand a little to signify a ‘Hello’
Marks smile never left his face as fangirls and fanboys started chanting and murmuring on how lucky we were or how we didn’t deserve Mark’s attention. Others were jealous and others were completely done with the whole hype of a soon-to-be idol in our classroom.
Mark and Moonbin realized that they had so much more in common than they thought. Moonbin informed Mark that he auditioned for Fantagio and was waiting to hear back as Mark was telling him the crazy things that happened in SM training sessions and meetings. We all hit it off so well, we soon became the most popular trio in the school. We were called, “The Golden Trio.” We three were inseparable until Moonbin was accepted and had to move away and graduation happened.
Flashback End
“He said he was coming soon I’ll call him right-” I was cut off to a shot gun shot on the other side of the phone, “Moonbin.”
I heard no response, “Moonbin.” I kept repeating his name until I could hear his voice, “Moonbin.”
“Oh my god. _______, I… I don’t know if I’ll see you today.” His voice sent relief through my body but his words sent daggers through my heart
“Moonbin, fuck. God. What do you mean are you okay? What’s happening there?” By now I was on my feet, clear panic written all over my face
I could hear panting and grunting, fast winds blowing by the speaker, “There’s a shooting.”
Those three words, nothing more nothing less. “A…. A….. A what…?” My hand was shaking in fear my eyes filling up with tears, “Run, stay safe. Please.. God..”
Another two gunshots were heard through the phone, this time it was dangerously close. “I….” I heard coughing on the end of the line, “I got……” More coughing, “I got shot in the leg and upper stomach.”
My hand flew to my mouth, covering the shock and denial I was in, “No there’s no way. Tell me you’re kidding. Moonbin I can’t lose you. Please…” My voice was shaking now, my hands couldn’t stop shaking.
“I can’t move, everything hurts.” He moaned into the phone
“Moonbin please. Don’t close your eyes.” I warned him as sobs slowly escaped my mouth
“I’m tired though…” HIs voice slowly got softer by the passing millisecond
“Moonbin…. Moon please don’t die like this you have Astro waiting for you. You have everything waiting for you ahead. I can’t let you die like this what are you doing…” My hands wiped away the tears that escaped from both my eyes
The line went silent. With softs screams and loud ones filling up the line, fast footsteps surrounded my ears. Pedestrians yelling, “This man needs help instantly!” Fangirls recognizing Moonbin and screaming that their idol was close to dead.  Pedestrians calling the police and shouting, “The culprit is getting in the car! He’s driving away!” My eyes started to become blurry and I hung up and called Mark right away who was driving over with his manager.
“Mark…” I started to sob
“Hey! I’m- Are you crying?” His voice was worrying
“Moonbin… He…..-” I tried to get my words out but sobs just kept coming out of my mouth leaving me incoherent
I heard another voice in the background, “What is this stupid black car doing, he’s driving on the wrong side of the road.” My eyes widened, not them too.
“MARK. PUT ME ON SPEAKERPHONE RIGHT NOW.” Mark quickly heard my loud cries and places me on speaker phone, “THAT BLACK CAR HOLDS A CULPRIT THAT KILLED MOONBIN YOU NEED TO-” I was cut off by loud manly screams
“OH MY GO-” I heard a crash, tumbling, and painful screaming.
My phone fell down to the concrete flooring, my hands dropped to my sides. There’s no way. I lost…..  Lost both of them… In the span of 5 minutes.
My hands ran through my hair as i dropped down, my hips not touching the floor but instead sitting on top of my ankles.
“No...No…..NO…….” I cried out, “This can’t be happening.”
Several passersby came over to ask if I was okay, asking me what happened. I couldn’t even process it myself, how could I tell them what happened. An woman engulfed me in her arms and was stroking my hair. Leaving me to cry into her shoulder over the past 5 minutes, where I lost two of my best friends.
Recent/Current/Now
Wonwoo never left. Instead he sat right next to me. Getting lost in that flashback I started to sob. My tears wouldn’t stop leaving my dried out eyes as my voice was shaky. His arms quickly engulfed me in a tight embrace gently stroking my hair. Ever since the accident I stayed at my work building. I stayed inside my dull office not getting out of the chair unless it was urgent. Seventeen often visited me in my office to check up on me and make sure I was still alive.
Seventeen is a 13 member group that I met during my internship at Pledis while Mark and Moonbin were off training. I became close with the boys as I helped them vocal train and take care of them from the evil ruling of the staff and CEO. I watched them grow into the fantastic young men they are today and they slowly take down girls hearts one by one. They were there for me when Moonbin and Mark couldn’t, as they were busy creating their own lives. I quickly became very close to the boys and met one of my new best friends there, Wonwoo. We automatically clicked and I would be lying if i didn’t say that I definitely have had some romantic feelings towards him.
“You’re going to be okay.” He said softly
“They died because of me.”
“They didn’t. It wasn’t your fault.” He kept stroking my hair making me feel more relaxed
“It was…. If it weren-”
“It wasn’t your fault. It was the culprit. The one who pulled the trigger and drove the car. Were you any of those people?”
“No..”
“Exactly. Therefore it isn’t your fault.” We sat there for a moment, Wonwoo hugging me. Engulfing me in his arms and me getting lost in his body and scent. “Don’t forget that Seventeen is here for you. You may feel like you have lost your entire world and friends, but we’re here. We can help you heal and be happy again. We’re here for you when you fall and we’ll help you get back up.”
I stay quiet for a moment, soaking my tears back up into my eyes, “What about you? Specifically?”
“I don’t think right now is a good time to tell you what’s been going through my mind, but I want you to never forget that I am here whenever you need me. I will stand by you through thick and thin. We don’t have a deep connection like what you had with the two of them, but I’m sure as hell that our relationship isn’t below that, that there is so much more to it.” He lifted my head and came dangerously close, “So will you let me help you, and let me know what going on in your head? Will you let me let you love, live, and heal?” As with that his warm lips were placed on my forehead. After feeling sad, alone, broken, and damaged for 48 hours, for once after their death, I felt right at home, like I was complete. Because I couldn’t cope with my best friends death alone, that I needed someone to show me how to Love, Live and Heal.
